BLUBBERBUSTERS COOKIES INFORMATION |
"Cookies" are little bits of information that a web page stores on your computer in order to help you. Our chat room stores your name and your icon or your name color (old chatroom) as a cookie on your computer, so you won't have to keep typing them in the future. Blubberbusters Weight Charts store your name and birthdate as cookies so only you can change your chart, and so you won't have to type your name and birthdate each time that you use your chart. Cookies do not cause any harm to you or to your computer. Cookies are normally accepted unless someone has changed this on your computer or unless a program deletes the cookies each time you log off the Internet. If your name and icon are not stored or your weight chart has lost your name, to check cookies on your computer, do one of the following: a) For America Online go to the MyAOL menu, select Preferences, then select WWW, then select the Security tab, then click on Custom Level, then scroll down to Cookies and check the Enable circles for both cookie types. b) For Internet Explorer 5.0 go to the Tools menu, select Internet Options, then select the Security tab, then click on Custom Level, then scroll down to Cookies and check the Enable circles for both cookie types. For Internet Explorer 6.0 and Windows XP go to Internet Options menu, select the Privacy tab and move the slider down to the bottom to Accept All Cookies. c) For Netscape Navigator go to the Edit menu, select Preferences, then select Advanced, then click on Accept All Cookies if it is not checked. Note: Programs that delete all cookies after each Internet session, such as "Window Washer", will prevent your chatroom name and icon and your weight chart information from being stored. Programs that delete cookies need to be turned off. |
