Hi My name is Ashley and I'm from a small town in Kentucky! I'm on the verge of being "over-weight" and I've promised myself that I'm not going to let this happen! I started my own personalized diet today and I'll update on this page what happens in the next week or so. I weigh 147 lbs. and I'm hoping to get down to about 110 or 115 lbs. I've longed to be this size my whole life. I've always been bigger than the other kids in my classes. This year I hope to change that! The success stories pages have really inspired me to lose weight. I'm going to try my best to stick with my diet plan and lose the weight that I want to lose. Thanks for your inspiring words. Hey folks. I've got a problem, I am trying to cut down on what I eat. But I find that I have a habit of just walking by, say, a box of Cheezits. Hey i know what its like, that tempting bag of chips or that tempting stack of cookies, but you know what made me stop? The thought of seeing my fat self in the mirror and being considered an ugly girl in school. I couldnt bear it so I stopped and now I've been doing better, but i still hope to lose more......good luck.

Andrea's right. You shouldn't lose it FAST. If you try to lose 2 to 5 lbs a week, when you get to where you want to weigh, it will stay off. I need to lose 150 lbs and I know exactly how you feel. And it's so hard because I just want to sit and play my Playstation. But my mom helped me get into the habit of eating right (we steam or BBQ almost everything). I have gotten used to never eating anything that is fried and I love Burger King frnech fries. But the biggest and the HARDEST was getting my butt up and moving. Walk around the block, scooter, dance, play with my dogs, anything you want. After a while, you just get used to NOT sitting so much and like I've been telling others, I drink TONS of ice water and chew sugarless gum. It makes my mind think its eating until the urge to eat goes away. My mom also told me to remember "I control my body... it does NOT control me" I... (view more)Andrea's right. Hi. I have not put any thing up here before. I feel like a big blob of fat. And I look that way too. I some times want to be anerexic to lose weight. But I ralise that that is bad. It just seems like such a good idea when all my friends are at lest 200-250 pounds lighter then I am. I can't talk to them about it they would not under stand. Incase you were wondering how much I weigh I weigh 35 stone. (420 ponds) I just feel so bad. I tryied to diet for a month and lost 10 pounds. Then I stoped for a day break. This turned into me not starting again and gaining back the 10. This made me feel depresed so I ate alot. So much that to date I have gained 50 pounds or so. This is because of the viscious circle. Please help. I need it badly. I have been warned by my docter that if I don't loose at least 50 pounds I will have a heart attack in under 2 years. And it is just so hard to loose weight. Especially if you have close to 300 pounds of extra fat on your body. Like I said I need help badly PLEASE HELP.

Hey. I feel the same way yo do. Even though I havn't seen a doctor, I know that I need to lose weight (well, 35 pounds, which is A LOT to me). But DON'T go anorexic. It's a desease (that's not spelled right) and you'd get really sick and might die. NOT cool. About the heart attack, I would use that as motivation not to eat so much. whenever you are hungry, than think about it and maybe you'll resist. IVE BEEN READING THE MESSAGES THAT PEOPLE HAVE LEFT ON HERE. I COULDNT SEEM 2 HELP NOTICE THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE LOOKING 4 QUICK WAYS 2 LOSE WEIGHT. I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT PEOPLE WANT 2 LOSE WEIGHT FAST BUT WHEN U THINK ABOUT IT ITS A BIT RIDICULOUS. U CAN ONLY SAFELY LOSE 1-2LBS A WEEK. THE REST IS WATER OR EVEN MUSCLE. UNLESS U WANT 2 DO YOURSELF DAMAGE THEN I SUGGEST U ALL TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT YOURSELVES AND REALIZE THAT YOU CANNOT LOSE ALL OF YOUR WEIGHT OVERNIGHT.

I totally agree.. I wish there WERE a quick and easy way to loose this jelly! :) But.. there isn't. It takes hard work and determination! What I do to help me.. is buy incredible pants that are on sale.. that are a size or two smaller.. and hang them in my closet. I know I can't wear them, but I keep workin' until I CAN wear them.. this helps me a lot!

And for me it was soo hard it took me 3 and a half years to finally stop going onto a diet but by lunch time going "oh ill just have this donut now and go on to the diet tommorow!" Then the next day the same thing would happen i was so sick and tired of this always happening to me! Seriously, You have to realize the reasons for why yr losing the weight and stick to it! For me every morn i eat oats and lunch a low fat sandwich and dinner a chicken breast and 2 small potatoes and some veggies. Dont over do it!! start by doing 20min work yr way up to 30min in two weeks a gym membership is good because then u can use a treamill and its easy to see how fast yr going. FInd a healthy thing u like for me it was tuna! I make myself a tuna sanwich with tomatoe slices everyday, i love it so i wont stop. I still have 12lbs or less left to lose but i know i can do it and i refuse to give up! You can do it to! All i do is think about going shopping and being able to fit into all the hot clothes i couldnt before. Its as easy as that! Everythings hard at the beggining and so is true with dieting! but you get better, (practice makes perfect!) I used to weight 160lbs now i weight under 145lbs and i lost this in a month (i dont know my exact weight because i only weight myself on Sundays and its Wednesday so im not sure) By the sunday coming up im sure ill weight 140lbs and thenby the end of next month i should at least lose another 12lbs im sure of it!! then ill be 128 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOW!!!!! meaning i can wear a size 7 or 8 instead of size 9 or ten thats a difference and im sure the boys will notice!!!!Email me with questions or if u want to know if yr diets good, Ill be completely honest! I know what you're going threw, I'm bascially the same weight as you... If you want to lose that weight then I know you can do it! It's hard at first but once that weight is off you'll feel 100 percent better. I lost 20 pounds last summer and I'm a different person!! I know you can do it!

Hi! I am a naturally confident person, and generally happy. I never used to be. I used to get teased all the time. People dont tease me anymore. I think they got bored of it. I am 5ft 5 and 196lbs. My friends say Im not fat, but they're just trying to spare my feelings. I know I am. My friends are all really thin and wear size 8 and 10 clothes. When we go shopping they go on about how they feel fat. I often feel like telling them to shutup and that they dont know what being fat feels like. I wear a size 16-18 and I hate going shopping. It gets depressing at times not being able to wear what I want but I seem to deal well with it. I really want to lose weight but it is really hard. I dont want to be `the fat one` of my group. I try to eat healthy and exercise, but I cant resist temptation and binge. I think it would be easier with a friend to diet with. All my friend are thin so I cant exactly talk to them about it. If anyone wants a dieting friend then I am more than willing. We can exchange tips and keep eachother up to date on how we are getting on.

I am very very faat. I way 356 puonds and I am 4 foot 11. My teacher made me go to her office and the scool nurse wayed me and she said I was hevier than her. She told my mommy I should diet. But I cant diet. I always eat candy. I cant run very fast and I go slow up the stairs.

okay heres the dilly. Im 15 I eat all the time! And like I just have a hard time loosing weight. I love to eat. I have a boyfriend who is like totally half my size it makes me feel hella un comfortable I feel everyone makes fun of me when they dont. I wear hella baggy shtuf. Jusst to hide my self. Im 4'11 quite short and 175 im supposed to be like 85 lbs lighter. ANd its so hard. I need help someone with advice help!

whenever I see something that looks good,or crave something really fatening, i just think of this girl I like, and it makes deciding whether i will eat it alot easier. when it comes to EVERYTHING in life, people live in the moment, and thinking of something like that will give you a better look at the big picture.

Ok, this is a post about committment. I am currently overweight, and I have started to endure in cardiorepiratory work outs...but the problem is, how do I stay on task? I tend to slack off because I get discouraged. I have a very low metabolism, so I lose weight VERY slowly, and it's hard...I am currently in a size 16-18, and I guess my first goal is to get down to a 13...then work from there. I don't need tips on how to diet or exercise but of commitment and dedication. I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks a bunch! :)

Try buying a piece of clothing you really like that is too small for you. Like buy a size 13 dress. Then if you quit, you won't be able to fit into the dress. So then you get moving again. I hope this advice helps! God Bless!!!

When i first came on here i weighed 175 pounds and now im 167 pounds! it feels great to be out of the 70's and into the 60's!! It just takes a bit of hard work and ditermination and u can do anything!!!
