When I was growing up, there were definitely people around who made comments about my weight or would compare me to my twin sister (who was tiny!), etc., and let me tell you, every comment HURT. I can still remember crying sometimes just because I felt so ugly and fat and I'd used to dream about looking like the rest of my friends.
In my experience, no, I've never gotten OVER them per se. Remembering some of those comments made about me still hurt sometimes, but here's the thing...while they hurt, it's more of a childhood hurt that I'm remembering. It's the feeling of inadequacy I felt, like I was an outcast in a way. ignore your family when you do pilates- hey- because if they're picking on you then it's there loss- oops- i mean yours- that's right- your FAT loss. lmao- ok so that was real korny but anyways that's what i do and i have a brother and someone that's not even in my family living with us but it's not like they sit there and gawk at me during my workouts. working out makes me feel a lot better then anything anyone could say to me or do to me to bring me down and when i'm finished i don't care because at least i did it!

Trust me, working with adults is so much better than working with kids/teenagers! All the people there will (probably) be there for the same reason as you, so you have no reason to be nervous. Good Luck.

My school does weights and heights too. I hate that phyical testing!! Everybody else weighed fron 51 to 154 [the girls] I weighed 154, but, one weighed 148, so I really didn't feel bad but I need to lose weight.

i saw this site while i was looking for the same thing as all of us! an easy way to lose wieght. so far i believe that there is no such thing. i am extremly over weight, i am 87kg and only 156cm tall. all my friends wiegh half of me.
at school when we have to record our weight i refuse to do it.
i love going shopping with my friends but when they go to try on clothes i stand out side the change rooms and hold their bags, this doesn't make shopping fun.
i never tell anyone my weight cause i am so ashamed, some of my friends say i look good for a bigger person and hide my flab well, but that hurts all i ever want is to be normal, a normaal shape just like every one else. i hope to hear from any one! i am relying on your help and support to make me the normal shape that i only dream of!
