Ht. 5'0", Today: 210 lb (BMI %tile: 98) - Hi everyone My name's Sarah. I am 13 years old and weigh 210 pounds. My height is 5 foot. My waist is so big that I cn never see my feet past my stomach. I want to know if it is possible to lose weight without exercising coz it is so boring after ten minutes walking my heart is beating so fast i think it is going to explode. Hey Sarah, First of all I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry about your current situation. And I am not talking about your weight. Your family is supposed to be your supporters and help you, not to make fun of you. I agree with Krystle next time one of your family members or even your teachers.. (which i must say is totlally wrong and they should know that. The teachers job is to help you learn to grow not to bring you down) critizes you tell them how much you are trying, and how much their comments hurt you. If they do noy understand this than tell them that you really want to lose the weight, but it's very difficult without all of the support. I must say that I've had avery supportive family who has always loved me for who I am and not how much I weigh. And now that I'm finally doing this and sticking to it (although it's been less than a week) I dont know how I would do it... Take a 10/15 min walk as much as you can during the week, do this when your happy or even angry.. When I'm angry it is my favorite time to go for a walk because I feel so much better after. With your eating cut out as many carbs as you can a day try to drink more water, or tea or in other instances drink diet soda. Eat more fruit and vegetables, and Ive found that a handful of peanuts or a bananna with a little peanut butter keeps from being hungry. Set up your own plan something you can stick to. And it's hard but get rid of the sweets. And if you absolutely need something have your mom pick up some healthy chioce fudgicals or something. It's only been about 5 days for me but since im not on a "diet" persay, I am not thinking about food. I used to think about it all the time but since, I feel like im not on a plan where i cant eat fruit, and some other things it has become much easier for me. But Krystle and Anne are right you should try and at least go for a walk, dance while claeaning your room, but u need to eat healthy and excersize to lose weight continously. And another thing talk to your doctor, I did that last friday I told her I was concerned about my weight and how seld concious I felt and she gave me tips and a packet on how to get yourself motivated. Ht. 5'6", Today: 170 lb (BMI %tile: 96), Goal: 120 lb - Hiya people. Does anyone have any motivational advice that will be useful, so i can startriding my eliptical trainer 4-5 times a week? I alreayd dance 5 hours a week, but only break a sweat in three of those classes(the othertwo are ballet which is reallys low movements...) BUT ANYWAYS...let me know if you have any good tips. I wantto loose 50 pounds...i weigh 170 and am 5"6.Luv yall

When I need motivation, I just think how great it will be when I'm thin and healthy. Also, I like to make a list of reasons why I want to lose weight and look at it whenever I lose motivation. It really works! Try it! Hope I helped and good luck!

"well yeah when im older ill lose it all.." nd stuff like that but readin everywuns success stories has made me wanna get up nd get rid of this fat. So today when i got home i took both my dogs for a walk but i took them on my skates. nd i didnt eat alot of my dinner but thats becuz i messed up dieting today. so then i jogged in place in my basement for awhile and theres this exercise thing downstairs i used, it helps with ur legs, butt, n tummy. mostly it helps ur arms. i also used this exercise celebrities use to shape their butts lol. u put ur left foot up on a step then ur right then u put ur left down then ur right. so its a count or 1..2..3..4 nd it really works cuz u can feel ur legs tightning wihle ur doin it.... Hey! If you haven't already done so, you could try printing out the "pig-out" poster and put it on your pantry, refrigerator, etc. You get what i mean. Also, just think" a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips!!" Just think of what that one piece of food will do to you...and then think...that's going to cause u 2 have 2 go and work it off! Hi. I have a BIG problem! I was at 3 parties this week all in a row,ok. I weighed myself 5 days ago and I was only 150lbs. Today I weighed myself.........and I was 173lbs! I can't believe it! How could I have put on SO much weight in 5 days! I have to buy all new clothes cuz none of them fit me! And now my stomaghs that big I can't even see my feet when I stand up! :-( Everyone keeps sayin to me: O my god what happened and did you eat a hot air balloon! Hi melissa. I am 12 and i weigh abou 146 pounds. I no how t feels to weigh that much and i have gained weight gin on vacations and it is like impossible to gt it off. Every diet u tryis like eatinga whole chocolate cake.The point is when u go to an accasion where u tend not to watch what you eat just remind yourself of how much weight u gained last time you went to an accasion. And another thing i also no how it feels to be made fun of cause how fat u r, it really hurts but just remmber its not whats on the outside that counts it whats on the inside, and remember m thinking of you when ever someone makes fun of you and that your not alon in this overweight club of ours. lso remembr that wedefinatly will losse his weight and be proud of our selves. im thining of you!, love chris

i just went for a quick jog and it felt so good. i'm reallfy getting fit and to the point where i love how it feels to exersize. i was just itching all day to go jogging. i haven't been jogging for a while and i've been doing other exersizes like tae-bo. the time before when i went jogging i hated it but this time it was really relaxing and stress relieveing. i feel so good about myself now. i looked in the mirror and i can see defined upper abs- my upper abs from the waist up look great but i'm really having trouble with the waist down. i can't get that stuff off but i heard running gives you a flatter stomach so i'll jog again tomorrow and hopefully make a habit of it. if anyone has suggestions about that area it would be greatly appreciated!

keep reminding yourself what you're doing for your body and how you'll look. tell yourself that EVERYTHING you put into your body matters- whether it's something good or bad and it'll have some sort of effect in the long run on your bodies weight. now- which do you want to put into your body?

I can't stand it! I love to go shopping, but when I have to try on the clothes in teh dressing room, and then hunt for a bigger size, I smile towards my mom, but on the inside I'm beating myself up about my weight! ANd when I find the perfect pants, but they don't have my size, that makes me hate myself even more! But, I'm DETERMINED to lose that weight!!!

good for you! i suggest, if you find a shirt or pants that u really really like but they dont come in ur size(obvisouly im talking about that they only come in smaller sizes) buy that shirt or pants as close as u can to one or two sizes down shirt wise or 3 or 4 dress sizes down. What Im saying is, if ur a xl, dont buy an xs, get a meduim or large. This is motivation, visual and mental,and once u lose that weight u have a new gift for yourself! dont go overboard and buy like 7 meduim shirts and 9 pairs of size 7 pants, i made that mistake and it made me feel TO pressured to reach my weight loss goals. Hey guys, On Saturday i went "School shopping" with my sister and a neighbor. Man was that depressing. Im really tall, so i only fit into tall pants, but it was really depressing because i didnt fit into the normal stores i usually do!!! Usually.. the only store i can get pants from is WeatherVane, but i couldnt fit into those.. It was really depressing. And then we went out to dinner, and i found out that when i go to the mall my dad feels bad for me cause he doesnt think i'll fit into "normal"clothes... so this year.. im just gonna try super hard to lose weight, and then when it gets down to the time to go to the beach im gonna say to my dad "BO YA!!" i did it!! lol (just so you know i post messages like this all the time but this is how i get motivated!! lol) So.. umm yeah.. thats my message.. write some if you wish! This is what you do. You think of a guy you really like. Now you exercise and think he'll like me if i am skinnier. If he is a real guy he wont think that but it is good for you to think that. worked for me
