is there anyone here that knows a really good way to stay on a diet cuz i start out good, go for about a week and then if i eat ONE thing off my diet, i start eating everything in sight! i really would like to lose about 30-40 pounds by thanksgiving cuz a lot of family that i haven't seen in a while is coming up and i hate being the fat cousin. is there anything i could do to keep the motivation for my diet?

hey- i'd just like to say to people- just becasue someone's overweight but not as overweight as someone else doesn't mean you should tell them not to lose weight- if they feel like they need to and are doing it in a healthy way- fine- if it's healthy and they don't have any weight to lose then they wont. oh and by the way- if anyone needs a website to tell you how many calories you're burning and consuming throughout the day and during exersize go to www.caloriesperhour.com. i hope i helped and didn't offend people- but i'm sick of hearing that i don't need to lose weight when my doctor says i do just because someone weighs more then me.it really makes me lose motivation...

Start: 223 lb, Today: 217 lb, Goal: 130 lb - Hey guys i just wanted to let everyone kno that now i am a tru believer that if you put your mind to sumthin you can do anythin. im actually startin to finally lose weight now that ive commited to it. i started at 223 an no am at 217. its not a lot but my goal for the summer was 10lbs and by my 16th birthday(next year) as close to my goal/healthy weight as i can.(between 120 an 140lbs). thanx everyone so much for bein supportive an i wish everyone luck on there weightloss. if i can do it anyone can if they stick to it an put there mind to it.

for your problem just think about what your doing and imagine how many pounds you could gain from that 1 snack!!!!!!it would help and you could ask yourself DO I REALLY NEED THIS JUNK????!!!!!! Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi..I'm abot 5'6 and I weigh around 200-220 pounds. I've tried to exercise and diet and I end up drifting away from my plans...I'm hoping that by talking to others, it'll give me motivation to stick to my diet? =) I'd like to talk sometime.

I got a black marker and scriible the word fat all over my arms and legs. so when i went to the refridgerator when i wasnt suppossed to be eating, there it was my arm chunky that said fat on it.Actually i didnt lose that much weight but it helped me stop eating so much/

Hey everyone I just wanted to say hi an that I think this website is the best thing ever. I never could stick to a healthy eating plan before I came here an met other girls just like me who want to lose weight. I am so proud of myself because I actually turned down mcdonalds. I couldnt believe I had the willpower. It made me so happy and think "Okay I can do this. I can eat healthy and resist temptation of all the junk foods." hey joseph. i know what it feels like to be teased and made fun of.. because 2 years ago i used to weigh around 300 pounds. it sucked. one day i just looked at myself and said " this is not me" but because i was way to fat to like move around enough to lose weight, i just eat better foods and started walking around my house everyday. in about a month, i had lost 10 lbs. i felt so happy. and in losing those 10 lbs, i could start doing work out videos because i could actually move better and i went on a vegetarian diet. i am now 14 and i weigh 140 pounds and i am 5'7. i hope this story will inspire you to lose weight. if you need any suggestions, email me... gogirlem50@hotmail.com

hey...you can honestly do it. I just ask myself questions like, am i really hungry? is it worth the lbs i'll gain? etc...plus a good inspiring quote is "nothing tastes as good as it does to be thin."

Hi everyone, my name is Michelle, I am 11 years old. I use to weigh 230 pounds. But one day I looked up in the mirror and said: Im fat!!! Soo... than I started walking everyday with my dog, and eating healthy food instead of junk food. And in three months, I lost 40 pounds, and I now weigh 190 pounds! hi ppl- do u have any motivational sayings\suggestions? heres what im planning to do. im going to take a piece of paper-on the front i'll put some kind of symbol and on the back ill write all the sayings (im making a necklace) every time i feel tempted ill just read those . im also planning to put something like that on my fridge with pictures of myself :)

Uhg... I just ate so much my stomach hurts! I don't understand how I can eat so much, I don't feel hungery and there is no good food in the house but I just feel bored or just feel like eating so I stuff my face (with food I don't even like) so much my stomach hurts I can just feel it stretching. If someone has tips to like avoid the kitchen or something, I don't know... I know brushing my teeth helps sometimes but usually I just head towards the kitchen.

Put up reminders on your cabinets (Such as quotes or pictures) that remind you that you're trying to lose weight. That way, every time you head to the kitchen, you'll see them and you'll be less tempted to eat. You could also keep a bottle of water with you. Every time you get a craving, take a drink of water.
