Today: 137 lb, Goal: 115 lb - Right now is a GREAT time to set goals for summer, it give you plenty of time to achieve them. By writing down your goal, it makes you more responisible, feel free to leave your goal as a comment on this post, I'd love to hear it. I am 137 pounds and I would like to be 115 pounds by May 1st. Honey, believe me, if you're overweight and have been all your life not eating is not going to work. If controlling your appetite is hard to do, how can you stop eating??? I see you have started to look for help, that's a good start. Why don't you tell you're parents to take you to a dietitian? Loosing weight is something that has to be done by yourself, you don't force people to help you. Just don't stop trying ok? Cya ;-)

hi um i no exactly how you feel.Everything you said is just like me execpt the homecoming and sweetheartsdance.i cry everynight to but not really out loud.i cry in my heart.because i cant do things other skinny girls can do.but look at it this way, skinny girls cant have the freedom of feeling like a women because they will still shop in the misses department for a while. they will still feel like little girls.but that was just something my mom told me to boost your confidence.if you really want to loose weight (like me) dont just wait for people to reply this message, do some of your own research go to the bulletin boards archives (the arrow at the top) and look at everyones ideas for loosong weight.then put them together and form your own diet like i did. you can also search other places too but this worked best for me.but if you ever need some one to talk to email me at twa@mailpuppy.com

i was just makin a point ok i am not telling them to shut down the sit or anything its just that i go thru these posts and hear things like i had 3 hamburgers or i had this i had that and it sounds like they arent trying no offence or anything i just wanted to make my point clear i mean i used to come here all the time but now i just read thru the posts but when i did come here someone told me to stop whiing and do it already and if that is hpw i have to put it thru to ppl than i will cuz thats what helped me loose weight

If you want to lose weight it has to be on your own
change the way you think about food and instead of watching tv go for a walk.

hey, I just want you all to know, you can do it! Dont listen to what ANYONE else says, they are just caught up with them selves. When I was 12, I weighted 237 lbs. I am now down to 125. All you have to do is be active! Instead of watching t.v., take a walk. When you want something sweet, dont deprive yourself of it, but dont have alot. just remember, the secret to losing weight is a simple, three letter word. TRY. it isnt hard! Just get of the couch, turn off the t.v. or computer and move around! You can do it! I did... and I thought I couldnt either. I used to be a big fat kid just like you guys, and I am set to run my FIRST half marathon this week. I am going to do good too! Dont care what anyone thinks of you, I know it is hard, but you can do it. just try.

Heres some knowledge to whoever wants it, Don't use the word Diet, think your making "life style changes" because you are, once your off your "diet" if you don't keep the exercise up and not eatting all the junk foods, or you'll most likely gain the weight you've lost back , and some times more. So every morning I wake up and say to myself; I'm gonna lose this weight; I'm gonna exercise and eat right; I deserve to be the weight I want,because I can do it , I know it; I'm gonna take control. I also found this really great tool called a pedometer, It calculates how far I walk, how many calories I burn, and how many steps I've taken , It also helps me think I can do It. Remember...even though you want to stop dieting and binge out on cookies dough...(coughMEcough) you are the only one in control of what you do or DO NOT eat. No one can force you to eat fattening food and make you gain weight. This is your body. You need to take control, keep exercising and eating good for you foods. you are the only one who can make yourself. OK. lecture complete. LOTTA LOTTA A LOTTTTA love- peace

Hey samantha, i read the other replies and i just found them really insensitive. The first thing i thought when i read your entry was i can relate to how your feeling but i know saying that you think of killing yourself means you are at an ultimate low. I found it terrible that all other people could say to you for support is "how tall are you" I have some suggestions, if your interested - its hard to stick to diets and its good you play a sport but that might not be enough. If its your mom who controls your diet its probably not the best plan. It has to be you who takes control and decides when you eat what, that way you are the one showing motivation, not someone else doing it for you. Good luck!

You can't just wait for someone to tell you you have to lose weight - do it yourself. Next time you see the doctor ask his or her opinion and set up an exercise plan and diet. Or you can talk to your parents or guidance counselor. Just remember that you can do it! :)

James its really hard u just have to stick to the diet because u just have to do it for urself and u know that so u have to do it when ur ready no one can do it for u u have to do it for urself so find the right time and u'll be able to get there i know u will
