I would recommend wearing shirts and dresses that cut just below the bust. Maxi dresses are great too, because they are fashionable but also loose fitting and long. I find that very tight tops are very unflattering on my tummy and so I try to stick with flowy sort of shirts with a pair of jeans. Try to wear clothes that flatter your best features- i.e if you have a flabby stomach but a nice chest wear something loose around the stomach area that gathers at the bust. Also you should try maternity clothing- don't be put off- there are lots of beautiful clothes that can fit really well there!

Ht. 5'6", Start: 271 lb, Today: 216 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 150 lb - A self-esteem booster for the ladies: When I was at my heaviest (and before and after that, too!), I felt miserable because I couldn't find fashionable clothes in my size. If you gals haven't checked out Lane Bryant, you should! It's a little pricey, but the clothes are fabulous and trendy and made to flatter full-figured women. Also, the people are very nice and extremely helpful...I always leave that store feeling like a supermodel. AND the women who work there are plus-size, too! I always get lots of compliments on my clothes, and it makes me actually feel a little better to mention a store that my friends can't shop at, instead of the other way around. They even have bras, underwear, and pajamas. And accessories. It's amazing, and it's just what I needed to feel beautiful while trying to reach another goal. Just because you aren't happy with your weight doesn't mean you have to feel ugly while you're trying to change it! www.lanebryant.com. Check it out, you'll be glad you did!

Ht. 5'4.5", Start: 206 lb, Today: 201 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 120 lb - i am 14 yers old and have never had a bofriend. Guys laugh at me and ask me out when they are just joking. My best friend weighs ony about 105 (lol) idk but she is soo skinny. Not like too skinny but she is nothing like me. I cant even go shopping for a swimsuit, shorts, or just regular stuff without breaking into tears. Most of my weight is from my dads genes but why does it have to be so hard to lose weight. I walk and/or ride my bike about 9- 18 miles a week but it is not a regular thing. Mainly just walking to the ball diamonds or to my friends house about 2-5 times a week and back which is about 1.5- 2 miles away. I also have trouble finding clothing that fits and looks good on my body type if it fits the neckline is too low or if the neckline is right then the shirt itself is too tight. pants are not that hard to find for me. Bathing suits are a different story. I hate my thighs. "thunder thighs" some people would call them. Any tips or comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kayla

Awwh hun, don't let yourself miss out on a fun time because you're self-conscious about your body! Try to get in at least a few good workouts before your trip and watch what you eat. You can wear a cute one piece with some cute shorts over it if you want to cover up a bit more. It would be fine. Also tips for right before your trip: limit salt intake, gum chewing, & soda drinking.. (it bloats you= stomach looks bigger.) & do squat jumps! they are tough but they are super effective in firming up your thighs!

if you want to look skinnier sit and stand up straight. always hold your head up.also if you are overweight dont wear baggy shirts, it just makes you look bigger. wear shirts that go just below your waist. also wear pants that arent too lose but make sure they aren't too tight either. *Good Luck*

Hello I'm 5 ft 1, eleven yrs old, and I weigh 228. I really hate my weight, so I need tips and help, please. I was 213 a coulpe weeks ago, but I was on a diet. My diet failed, and now I feel my self fatter. I know I'm getting bigger when I sit in my desk and I can't fit properly. Or when It is difficult to walk up stairs. In school my nickname is Hippo, and when I sit down all my flab rolles out and all the mean kids pich it. I really hate it when it's measuring day in the nurses office and I get weighed in front of everyone. And then the nurse wrappes a tape measurer around my waist and yells to the other nurse "35 inches". And then I get a letter sent home that said I qualified in the wieght class to not particapate in PE. Soo emarassing. I eat five main meals a day which I know is not good. But I love food so much! I sometimes can eat till I'm blue in the face. And my mom hates my size. Every time I eat sweats, she flinches. Plus when I shop she makes a huge scene when she finds out that I can't fit in anything. So I need some tips please, and especially for my thighs (I can't fit in to my shorts). But no sit ups cause my belly is to big. So Please tel me what I can do for my weight, and also please tell me about places that I can shop at. Please? I'm desperate. Thank you.

Try walking every day and night. At least 2 times a day. And a good place to shop for bigger clothes sizes (if you are into punk clothes) is Torrid. They have lots of clothes. Peace out.

misses and juniors are the same sizes except misses don't start until size 6. So if you are a 16 in misses you are a 16 in juniors. I think juniors usually go up to like 18 but some stores go up higher

Hey guys, On Saturday i went "School shopping" with my sister and a neighbor. Man was that depressing. Im really tall, so i only fit into tall pants, but it was really depressing because i didnt fit into the normal stores i usually do!!! Usually.. the only store i can get pants from is WeatherVane, but i couldnt fit into those.. It was really depressing. And then we went out to dinner, and i found out that when i go to the mall my dad feels bad for me cause he doesnt think i'll fit into "normal"clothes... so this year.. im just gonna try super hard to lose weight, and then when it gets down to the time to go to the beach im gonna say to my dad "BO YA!!" i did it!! lol (just so you know i post messages like this all the time but this is how i get motivated!! lol) So.. umm yeah.. thats my message.. write some if you wish! I know exactly how you feel. I don't know if you have Old Navy, but if you do, they have extended sizes for jeans. If you're an internet shopper, u might want to check out gap.com and/or ae.com. Hope I helped. Good luck!

hey, ive got the same problem. i have a small waist, and i am very tall (5'7), but my chest is a D. it always makes me look bigger then i am, and it sucks. But, if you buy shirts that are solid, it will make your chest look way smaller. Hope i helped at least a little!
