do you have a dog? take him/her for a walk for 1/2 an hour when you come home from school. (This also helps you clear your head if you've had a bad day at school :) ) Watch what you eat, that is, eat more healthier stuff. If I want a chocolate bar I take an apple, cut it into pieces and dip a bit of it into nutella (that chocolately spread stuff.) Make substitutions like that and you won't feel like you're depriving yourself, but you will be losing weight.

im 14, 5'8" and about 216. i know what you mean. you dont gotta go to the extremes..try gradually. cut down on some of the junk foods and sodas and drink as much water as possible. you mite wanna try low impact workouts and work up. you could try walking every day...walking instead of getting a ride. i know its hard so go slowly.

ya ok thats tottaly reasonable. What you have to do is eat things you like that are low in calories, such as fruit, veggies. Make your self a smoothie, there good and low in calories. Ask your mom to make healthier meals. and you need to excersize! to get serious results you need to excersize, run laps, jump on a trampoline, dance, walk, weight train, climb stairs. But do somekind of excersize! good luck sweetie! :) Keep us updated.

Not eating is not the way to lose weight. If you want to lose weight you just have to work out and eat healthy skip the fast food and the chips eat more veg.'s and drink more water. It works because i have lost 16 pounds doing this and I am happy with myself...and you have to be happy with your self before you can be happy with you body. Good luck and dont give up because if you do than you lose.

All i did was eat 4 grams of fat for breakfast and 7 for lunch and dinner. plus i jumped on the trampoline for like 10 minutes and swam for an hour everyday. the amount of fat grams that food has in it is on the label right under the calories. you can eat as much fruit and veggies that you want because they dont have any fat grams in them. if you want a low fat snack just fill up the icecube tray with any kind of fruit juice or water and lemon juice mixed and crush it up when it freezes and youve got a low fat slushie plus its YUMMY!

I was reading the bulletins, and it seems like the way some of you are trying to lose weight is not the best way. Huh? I dont remember telling anyone about any weight plan. I have lost 6lbs and what I have done is eat 1700 or so calories a day (im now lowering to 1500 though) and I try to eat low fat. I also exercise 40 minutes a day by walking. Thats about it. Oh and I dont eat after 8pm at night.

hi your 12 too right well i am trying 2 lose weight too over the last 2 weeks i lost 5 pounds i could tell how your feeling, i am the only one in my family that is has a serious weight problem. just try to lose weight like me i only ate healthy food like oranges and apples and every day i dance (moving my hips alot)for 1 or 2 hours.Good luck!!!

Im 10 and im 4'9. my daddy say im way 2 fat for my age and my mommy always give me food when i want it. i like to eat but the clothes i wear a week ago dont fit any more. i ask my mommy if i should lose wait but she says i shouldnt and just she says i should just like who i am. but my daddy says i eat enough food in one day that it coiuld feed 3 grownups. i cant help it i like eating and im always eating something. Mommy says dont worry you will lose it and instead feeds me more. im 10 and way 250. should i lose the wait or will it go away?

listen, u need to loose wieght but it doesn't have to be like a major issue all the time. take it slowly, first start to cut down on chocolates and stuff. dont take it all away immediatly or u will eat mor. juss take it slowly and maybe try doin sit ups because afterwards u feel great. it may take a while but i assure u, u will loose wieght.

i'm 5'5" and 151. i use to be 160 but i've lost almost 10 lbs in 2 months. my goal is 135 so that's 25 lbs. i am a junk food and candy lover, so this has not been easy! lol... what i do is plan out 1,500 calories a day. now, my friends definitely aren't on diets lol so they pull out cookies, chips, all the good stuff. i'll take a tiny piece of cookie, or a few m & m's... so that way i atleast get something but i don't overdo it! i probably rack up about 100 cals. a day with those little munchies. try and cut out as much sugar as possible, like with juices, sodas, and desserts. definitely eat lots of fruits and veggies. i have been running a fast mile and a half or two (depending on what i feel like ) 4 or 5 days a week. but i just read that running longer distances slower increases your metabolism more. so i'm gonna run for 30 mins. this will burn about 300 calories at most, so with 1,600 cals a day and minus 300, that's almost 2 pounds a week you'll lose. i hope to shed all the weight by june first! we'll see how it goes! good luck! if you wanna e-mail me, it's JJStew3@hotmail.com

Ht. 5'6", Today: 155 lb (BMI %tile: 85) - hey everyone, i was doing so good on my diet like a week ago i had lost 5 pounds by jogging every morning for about 40 mins and i ate 3 meals a day that were pretty healthy. but on the 5th i had to get stitches on my hip so i couldnt exercise....that really put me on a low, i cant exercise for awhile....al ive been doing is eating now im back up 5 pounds at least! im not sure im afraid to get back on the scale...i think i weigh about 155 now, im sooo depressed now! does anyone wanna be weight loss buddies? im 5'6 155lbs.....does anyone here live in new mexico? ok well thanx for listening -KK-

When I was little I was chubby. I had what people called a pot belly, it stuck out over my pants. My mom noticed this, so she put me in swim classes. Believe me, swimming is the best exercise you can do if you are aiming to lose weight. It helped me, alot! And, mom cut off all junk food in the house, she stopped buying it. And I would always go for walks! It's not as hard as it sounds. Swimming classes is just like learning how to swim. Its fun, you get to meet new people, and it helps you lose weight. And going for walks, just grab yur headset and go! It can be fun. And junkfood? Who needs it. One of my old favorite snacks used to be Celery sticks with Peanut butter spread on top, or cheez whiz! And don't grab for that second helping. One helping is enough, and if you are still hungry after the first helping, grab an apple, or just get a glass of water. Anyways, good luck with everything! Just keep in mind- you can do it! ;)

hi, your like me i have 10 pounds to go! All you need to do is excersise... try crunches (i know they suck but do them anyway!) NO JUNK FOOD! don't worry i lost 27 pounds i know what im talking about. (I'm not trying to sound cocky!) watch your sugar and carbohyderate intake! thats the most important!

hi im joseph and im really really faat i way 312lb an im 4ft5. my mom says i've got a bigger waist then hers she says mine is too big. i hav a really big tummy that hangs down far and whenever i hav gym even laughs at me because im fat i eat lots of chocolate and crisps each day because my mom says im growing. i hav trouble getting up the stairs each day somone help me.

Hi Joseph! Ask your mother to help you loose weight. Ask her to buy more healthy foods and drinks. Lots of fruits and vegetables taste good and are good for you. Do some excersizes a few times a week- if you have a dog, take it for walks. Try to drink lots of water because it's very good for you.
