Ht. 5'3", Start: 180 lb, Today: 180 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 135 lb - I've been overweight ever since I was in 4th grade. I have constantly been trying to lose weight since then. The only thing that kinda worked was weight watchers. For a couple months. Then I started getting un-motivated and I gained 20 pounds. I've gained 20 more pounds since then and I'm so embarrassed. None of my friends are fat, and I just feel so out of the circle when I'm with them. They've all had boyfriends and such, and no guy has ever looked at me in that way. My dad made me join weight watchers again and I lost 4 pounds. But then again I got un-motivated and gained 6. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm just eating eating eating ALL the time and I don't know how to motivate myself to stop. I dance 5 days a week for at least 2 hours a day, and I go to the gym a lot. So I know it isn't lack of exercize. Its the food. Please, if you have and advice for me, reply to this message. I need all the help I can get.

write your short term goal weight on your wrist. like if you wanted to get to 178 or 179 at the week, write it and look at it before you reach for food.

Ht. 5'1", Start: 420 lb, Today: 420 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 105 lb - Hi, my name is Dean and i am a tad heavy. I started out in 3rd grade weighin about 240 and change. I mean that wasnt bad, i'd say about 15 pounds overwieght then. Then once my best friend told me to back off the cakes and cookies, i lost it. I broke his nose and told his mother, then she said the same thing. After that I went on a eating frennzyy. I have to say i gained about 45 pounds in a range of the season of fall. I felt great, but I know that I was just digging myself deeper in the hole of obesity :(... This cycle repeated until around 6th grade (middle school). It was this time when i found the love of my life, Zoey from the hit TV show Zoey 101. I wrote her letters everyday, telling her that I was 6'1'' and 150lbs. I was at this point, living in a fantasy world. Then my mother told me that I would never have a chance with her, so I decided to become anerexic. I tried for 2 days, but it was twinki tourture. So the next day I went to an all you could eat buffet, just outside of the town I was living in. I ate so much I had to get my stomach pumped. Until this day, I have been doing this, and became a regular at the buffet. I love food, but need help. Any Advice? :/

Hi Dean. If you really want help, maybe you will listen to someone who has struggled with weight all of his life. That's right, i mean me.From kindergarten and on, i was always very overweight for my age.In many cases,i was the fattest kid in my class. By the age of 13, i was weighing a whopping 345 pounds. I was so miserable, that i attempted suicide twice in that year.Now at the age of 15,i am 5'8 and 170 pounds. I actually realized most of my problem is I eat all the time.. I dont even notice it.. I just picked up a chocolate coved pretzel last night was was starting to put it in my mouth before I even realized it! so my goal for the next month is to only eat when I am hungry or well my 3 meals a day.. you know just not start picking up stuff cause its convinent... hopefully I'll start shedding soon!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!

hi i used to weigh 300 pound and now i weigh 137. and i'm 5.6 i feel so great now. but how i got there is that i went through my kitchen and took all of my junk food and threw it away or if it was unopened donate it to the mission. and exercise 45 min everyday. it took my one year to get to here. so it will probably take you like 3-6 months good luck!

Ht. 5'5", Start: 210 lb, Today: 183 lb (BMI %tile: 96), Goal: 175 lb - Heyy, my birthday is coming up on January 8th :)) and i wanna try to be at my goal weight of 175, so thats like 8 pounds i gotta lose. So does any one have any tips :)) right now I run in place everynight in my room for like 20 min striaght then jumping jacks and that kinda stuff, go walking/running with my friends and brother but i guess my big problem is eatting healthy... since i work in a grocery store its alot less of a problem just to grab a candy bar some chips and a soda, so im not really sure what to get in there that is good for me and cheap! any ideas?!? theres probably some kind of premade salads, or fruit salads, yogurts, fruits, cheese and crackers, nutrigrain bars, frozen dinners (if you have a microwave) just take a minute to browse around the store. stay away from the middle aisles because thats where all the junk is. around the perimeter is where the dairy, meat and fruits and veggies are. good luck

Just cheer up! Try to eat smaller portions, like if you go to BK get a kids meal, not a whopper!Try picking up an apple, eat healthier you'll get thier, i wiegh 194 if u think thats bad...i used to way 250! if i can do it so can you!

I know what your going through, I used to wiegh 169 now I wiegh 120 and i need 20 more pounds to go! Keep at it kiddo! I know they tease, they used to make fun of me everywhere i go, a boy asked me if I was bron in a doughnut factory it hurts!Just find a fun way to lose wieght, like I used dance,Dance revolution for Ps2, i rode bikes and I ate everything else in smaller portions, drop the chips and pick up an apple! Ht. 4'11", Start: 260 lb, Today: 260 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 100 lb - I hate being overweight because it's so UNcomfortable! Who agrees with me?? I'm way too fat and I can't stand how it feels on my body. When I sit down my pants are TOO tight. My stomach is really fat and it rolls up and feels like someone's pushing on it when I'm sitting down. It's HARD to breathe like that. When I stand up it takes some pressure off my stomach but then it's SO heavy, my back HURTS and I get tired fast. This MOUNTAIN of fat is like torture because it's TOO heavy and it's ALWAYS there even when I NEED a break! I know I should lose weight but that takes a LONG time! What can I do to feel better until then???

hey Amanda, You should start off my eating better ( if you don't already ). Like more veggies everyday, healthy snacks after supper if you're hungry.. lots of water, no more sugary drinks ( crystal light's just as awesome as juice) and eat in small portions. Just make sure when you eat, you're not so full that you can barely move ( believe me, i've been there my whole life haha) just eat enough to feel comfortable, and teach yourself how to do it by starting off. do this a week and you'll already start to feel better. If you wanna help yourself, now's the time right? after you start to feel better and maybe lose 10 pounds ( which you can do in about 2-3 weeks if you're 150lbs overweight like you say) , then you can start excersising a bit. do excersises that you're comfortable with doing though. It doesn't take as long as you think. You'll lose ten pounds and feel and look better, then 10 pounds more, then on and on. Don't look at the big picture. It pays off! It's better to lose it slowly than not lose at all right?

something that really worked for me, was only eat when you are hungry, if you're full, don't finish your plate because that's just a heap of extra calories you don't need. listen to your body. it's also fact that sometimes when we think we're hungry, we're actually thirsty, so drink a glass of water, wait 10 minutes and if you're stomach is still growling, eat something (healthy!) and stop when you are satisfied. if the growling goes away, you were just thirsty!. buy crystal light if you don't like water, but try and drink at least 2 glasses of pure water a day, it makes your skin really nice :) good luck hun

I messed up but now I'm getting back on track) Fad diets are too complicated in my opinion so try to ignore those unless you have the discipline to stick with it all the way through. Just do what WORKS for you. Try to get lots of aerobic exercise in and eat in small portions. I eat small meals every 3 hours and I don't eat anything after 7:30 pm. Eating every 3 hours will boost up your metabolism which will help you lose weight faster. Drink LOTS of water and substitute coke with diet coke (if you need soda). Treat yourself once in a while but remember, alwayss small amounts. If you're craving chips or something, don't eat directly from the bag. Place a handful in a bowl. If you're craving chocolate, try to eat dark chocolate instead. Eat a variety of fruits, vegtables,... Don't rush with your meals. Plan your meals beforehand. Create your own healthy recipes, it's fun! ALWAYS eat breakfast, studies say that people who don't eat breakfast weigh MORE than people who do. It's the first meal of the day and it gives you the energy you need. Don't judge yourself, don't say you're ugly, fat, monsterous or worthless. Think positive and positive things will happen. What I did was I avoided all white foods (rice, bread, etc) and I substituted it with whole wheat foods. Instead of drinking whole milk, drink 2% (I can't drink skim, it tastes like water). I ate right and I danced a lot. I don't know how to dance lol but the main thing about dancing is moving your body and the more you more your body the more calories you burn so what I did was a I burned a CD filled with like 20 of my favorite songs, fast and slow and I locked myself in my room and danced like crazy with the CD on until it ended (which was about an hour or more). It's fun and by the time the CD stopped, I was sweating. Don't be obsessed with the scale (I was in the beginning) because remember that losing weight is a gradual process. It'll take time and it sucks but in the end...you'll know that it's all worth it :) Before doing all of this. You must make the decision to change your life, to change it for the better and be healthy. Once you make the decision, NO one can stop you. Ht. 5ft 7 in, Wt. 188 - Every summer I say I'm gonna loss weight. Well last summer I went from 181-171 and during the school year as soon as fall sports were over I gained it all back and 7 more lbs. I haven't been eating to bad or so well either. Yesterday was bad thought. At 9am i had a doughnut and then I was at a car wash all day till 2:30 (i left early and got yelled at) and then my best friend and I ate brownie batter and both of us are trying to loss weight then I had Mac and Cheese, a brownie, 2 hot dogs, chips and i had water all day though. That was the only good thing in my day. Today i will try to do better. Anyone have AIM Im me @ XOKimiXO123

Think about eating. Don't just eat mindlessly. Also if you really can't stop eating and you know you should reach down and grab your love handles. If that doesn't stop you from pigging out on a brownie and 2 hotdogs nothing will lol. Also remember you can eat a brownie or a hot dog if you want just don't eat that much junk in one day.
