type 2 diabetes can be reversed through healthy eating and exercise, so dont think of it as a life long disease because it can be beaten, seriously.

It's great to be happy but 220 pounds is overweight and it's really unhealthy. You risk diabeties and other horrible sicknesses and diseases. I suggest you go on a weight losing program such as Weight Watchers.

Hi guys, just reminding u again that you should not starve yourself. It will slow down your metabolism, not to mention you vitamin intake will be nada and you need vitamins to grow and be healthy, or your hair could fall out and stuff like that. Anyway, the lowest calorie limit I would suggest is 1200. If you eat 1200 calories a day and exercise for 45 minutes (walking, jogging, playing basketball..) then you should be able to lost 1-3 pounds a week, depending on your size. The closer you are to your goal, the harder it will be to lose weight, so just keep trying! Remember, you have to love yourself first!

I have to clear up this little tif here. Walking, jogging or running the SAME DISTANCE burns the same amount of calories. Both are capable of burning fat however walking better as it is easier to keep your heart elevated for longer than 30 minutes through brisk walking. Running for more than 30 minutes is too hard on the body and stenuous on the joints. Walking does not burn the most "belly fat". When we lose weight we lose off all areas of the body, however most people tend to store more weight in the stomach which is why it always appears to be the area you lose from first.

Look matt, you dont want to be anorexic. It is a mental disease which haunts people their entire lives. Also, if you starve yourself or try to lose weight quickly, you with become a fat blob in the end. If your losing more than 2 lbs a week it means your body is feasting on itself for food by turning your muscles into energy. The body can only metabolise 2 lbs of fat a week. So to lose any more than that would be losing muscle and you lose tone and muscle burns more calories than fat so we dont want that. Seriously, you have come so far dont wreck it now. Just take this REALISTICALLY. You are young and have the rest of your life to live! If you just focus on a healthier lifestyle for the next six months you will be fine! Good luck and dont do anything stupid.

BEINF FIT IS NOT SIMPLY ABOUT BEING THIN. A SLIM, TRIM BODY IS A WORTHY GOAL, BUT BEING FIT IS TRULY ABOUT BEING HEALTHY, STRONG AND ENERGETIC. THINKING ONLY OF THINNES, FOCUSING ON IT, AND OBSESSING ABOUT IT CAN LEAD TO NUTRITIONAL IMBLANCE, CHRONIC HEALTH PROBLEMS, AND IN EXTREME CASES, EATING DISORDERD. FOCUSING ON CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTHAND STENGHT AND SEEKING SENSIBLE WAYS FOR EATING TO HELP ACHIEVE THIS IS ALL SHOULD STRIVE FOR.

Actually, you might get thin by not eating, but you definitely will not look great! I am slowly recovering fromthe hell that is anorexia. I will probably have eating problems for ever now! All because I wanted to be skinny. I got what I wanted but my skin went dry and flaky, I got spots, then when i got really skinny i grew a kind of downy hair all over my body NOT ATTRACTIVE!!!! It is what the body does to keep warm when it has no fat. I had no curves, my period stopped, my hair got thinner and thinner and then fell out. My period has come back but for many anorectics it doesnt so they can never have babies. I looked like a famine victim and no guy would have ever wanted to be my bf!!! I looked disgusting. And now I am a thinnish normal weight but i will have a lifetime of obsessing about food and eating!!!!!! That is REALITY!!!

Noooo dont do it! u lose weight, and regain twice as much! u feel weak all the time, and look pale and ill. u cnt enjoy any nice foods, u can die from a heart attack from starving urself, and ur kidneys will fail. starving urself slows metabolism, which wen u go back to ur normal diet ( Which u will do eventually believe me) u will put on soo much weight. u lose w8 faster by eating healthy, and doing actvitys, to get u fit. good luck

Hi Raygene! I myself am over the average weight of the normal 8th grade girl. I'd like to tell you about my dad. He always ate junk food and the bad stuff with major calories. His doctor told him that if he didn't change his eating habits he could die of a heart attack. So for the past 5 months he has lost 25 pounds and is much more healthy. The point is you should try to gradually eat healthier and exercise before you have to so fast that your life is literally on the line. I am learning from my dad's influence. c-ya

just a little fact you might like to know. Not only is it really healthy to eat breakfast, it also boosts the metabolism a lot if you eat healthy. Also, no matter what you do during the day, you will burn off the calories you eat at breakfast.

I am anorexic. I was just diagnosed. At first I was in denial, but it is true and its real in me. I lost 35 pounds in 3 months. I went from 165 to 130! I was a size 15, and now I am a slim 8. Whatever you do DO NOT become bulimic! -your teeth will rot and you will get caught. It is eaiser to tell if you are throwing up rather than starvation. I threw up for awhile and then became anorexic. whatever you do- be careful. if your chest hurts- tell someone or eat. You get heart problems and liver problems and within 6 or so months you will be being fed through a tube like I was. So watch out!! :(
try windsor pilates. try water aerobics too. and if you really must take a diet pill. but please dont become bulimic or anorexic. If you do- it wont just involve you- it will get your family into your life a lot and even if you are doing this for attention you could kill yourself this would be so painful. Please talk to someone about this! I dont want you to become like me.
