I'm exercisizing and eating right but the scale won't budge. I do the Firm every other day and in between those days I do another sort of exercise. What is wrong, why aren't i losing?

Are you calories too high maybe? Maybe your eating right, but with too many calories?....Calculate them for a day and see what comes up!

Hey! Well, I have started a exercise plan and I was wondering how long it takes for it to become rutine. Like me going to my voice lessons, it is rutine. How long should that take? And how long until I won't want to not exercise? Thanks

youll stop feeling like it is such a burdon when you see results but there will still be days you dont want to do it .take before and after pics as a reminder.

that's entirely possible! all you have to do is lose a pound a week. so you don't have to do much but burn 500 calories more then you consume. go to www.caloriesperhour.com and see how much you burn in a day and then subtract 500 calories from it and eat that many calories a day. you have to be patient though. good luck! exersize doesn't hurt either!

hi im new here. does anyone know a way to lose weight fast? ive always been pudgy but now that im older ive realized just how overweight i am. i dont want to be like this anymore. ive gained 20 pounds in the past year, and i want to lose it again plus more of the 'extra'. someone HELP

moderate eating and exercise are key. A lot of times we eat more than we realize. Try keeping a journal and include everything! Even if it wasn't served on a plate. Then start with 2o mn of walking and build up. Maybe there's an activity you like or sport or something. When you get home from school go outside and move around. Drink lots of water and eat good nonstarchy vegetables. I like to eat 5 200-400 calorie meals and I don't eat anyk kind of carbs except vegetables after 3:oo just to help me cut down. And the best advice is not to beat yourself down if you make an unhealthy choice and get your family and friends to help you.

i used the slimfast plan uintill i got enough controll over my eating and learned calorie counting and now i just count my calories. it definately works counting calories. i've lost 15 pounds...

First off, if you are overweight, and want to lose weight with some quick diet or something like that (Atkin's diet, that counts, stuff like that), you need to EXERCISE. No "quick fix" diets will work. Now that I have that out of the way, I am 13 (as above shows) and I am overweight, obviosuly. However, I am pretty active (Playing hockey every other day now, and wiffleball (The version where you actually run bases and stuff) and random sports), but I don't seem to lose any weight. I eat right usually, having something, like some cookies, or cake, or whatnot, and it's really frustrating. Anyone out there have these same experiances?

sometimes people eat more then they should(even if it's the right stuff) and not notice it- you could be consuming the same amount of calories then you are burning off. eat a little less and see what happens- or eat what you eat in a regular day and count all the calories just to see how many calories you're eating.

I need to lose some weight bad... I hope to lose 2 pounds a week. I will keep myself on this plan: watch my calorie intake with a food journal, exercise daily for at least an hour each day, and most importantly for me, only eat sitting down at the table. I hope to lose 65 pounds by May 14th, and I'll post here often to let ya'll know how it's going!

man i wish i was your weight but that doesn't help does it? so my advice is incorporate veggies into your diet as much as possible and write down everything you eat for a while to acctually see what you eat incase you might not be thinking when you snack a lot and no cheating when you're writing it down!

hey i feel the same way you do so i decided that i was sick of being made fun of and being unhappy and i went on a diet where i had no snacks, watched calories, kept a food journal, and exercised for at least 30min a day and i have lost 4lbs in 2 days!

Try this (it helped me lose 30 pounds in 10 weeks): With your parents and/or doctor's help, find out how many calaries you need each day and make up a menu for each of the 7 days of the week. Make sure the menu has a little bit of everything (meat, pasta, veggies, fruits, and healthy snacks like yogurt and applesauce). Stick to 3 meals a day plus one snack, and repeat the menu each week. Add some fun excersize like biking, swimming, bowling, and you'll see the scale go down! By doing this, you are really not dieting, but changing your life to healthy eating. Once a month, treat yourself to ONE slice of pizza, or something you really like, but then get right back on track and keep losing! Good luck to you!

Hey Chloe! No one has givin me advise yet. But i'm trying something new. I'm keeping a food diary. I'm writing down everything I ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm also encluding snacks. I'm aslo exercising for an hour a day. Did you now if you just ride your bike slowly for an hour you can lose 250 calories! I'm also doind 15 sets of crunchers a night. they help flatten your stomach. My friend did this and she lost 18 lbs. in 2 months! I have to be very honest when I write down what I had to eat. I can't lie. that stinks! Now I'm eating healthier and losing weight. After I saw how bad I was eating I needed to change it. so I'm eating healthier. Soon I'll be able to get to the weight i want. Today: 150 lb - Hi! I'm 12 and I am sooo fat. I weighed myself yesterday and I was 140lbs, then today I weighed myself and I was 150LBS! I feel soo big and ugly and oh yea, FAT! Sam is right...if you weigh yourself everyday you can lower your self-esteem and your confidence. It adds stress to you and makes you think that you'll never lose the weight. Here's a couple things you can do: first, look yourself in the mirror everyday and tell yourself that you are capable of losing weight if you really want to. (It's 50% mental/50% physical)Second, keep a journal to keep a record of what you eat, how you feel, and keep a weigh-in page...pick one day out of the entire week...let's say Wednesday, okay? So, every Wednesday, you weigh yourself in the morning before you eat or drink anything. Write that down in your journal. Don't weigh yourself until the next Wednesday and then keep repeating. Walking is the simplist exercise, so try walking for 20 minutes three days a week or more. Oh, and drink lots of water. Hope that helps.

I need to drop a couple of pounds to. Just cut down on eating. Write down everything you eat and ad the calories. If you dont know what calories are ask your parents. You should only eat about 1100 calories a day replace junk food with helthy food. Your fat will be gone in no time.
