Hey! I just found some good tips on how to loose weight really fast and healthy! -record everything that you eat on a piece of paper (don't cheat), then count up the # of calories that you consumed(look at the nutrition facts or online) -on another piece of paper write down what you did throughout the whole day (in minutes like :walking for 14 minutes)- go online and find out how many calories does each one burn (sum +1200 and you will get a total of how many calories you burned).- Then find the difference between 2 numbers. EVERY 500 UNBURNED CALORIES PER DAY THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE WEEK WILL GIVE YOU +1 POUND. EVERY 500 BURNED CALORIES (EXCESS) WILL GIVE YOU -1 POUND THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE WEEK. THE MORE CALORIES YOU BURN, MORE WEIGHT YOU LOOSE.IT ALSO HELPS ALOT WHEN YOU WRITE DOWN THINGS THAT YOU EAT. I TRIED IT MYSELF AND I LOST 4 POUNDS IN JUST 1.5 WEEK!!! I WENT RUNNING EVERY DAY AND I WAS JUMP-ROPING FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES EVERY DAY TOO. I DRANK LOTS OF WATER AND ATE NO MORE THAN 1500 CALORIES PER DAY.aNY QUESTIONS? ~POST HERE! HOPE HELPED

Ht. 5'2", Today: 146 lb (BMI %tile: 88) - hi i am 18 5'2' and 146 pds i play almost any sport you could think of and i lift weights!! so i exercise alot but i am wanting to go in to the air force but b/c i am so short i have to lose about 15 more pds i drink lots of water and i tried the slim fast diet it didnt work i tried to stave my self but i dont work either yes i have cut back alot though. i used to make my self puck everytime i ate and that ended up with me in the hospital for about 3 weeks well i need more help i really want to go if you have any suggestions please write back

I am 8 years old and I weigh 160 pounds. I like to run and play but I get out of breath. My mom and dad are sad because I am fat like they are. We eat lots of veggies but we still eat to much food. I am always hungry because I am growing up. My mom is worried about me being picked on but I am taller then even the 5th graders in my school. I am happy and I like being me even if I am fat. I just want help to lose weight.

hey, I think its good you like to run and play! Exercize is a very good thing to do.I noticed you said you eat to much.One thing that could help is a calorie chart Ceep track of the calories you eat (if you dont know how to check ask your parents how)try not to go over 2000 calories a day or it will turn in to fat ceep eating those vegys but just remember not to much vegys, vegys still have calories and to much calories turn into fat i really really hope i helped ill right you later carry

hey im misty i am ealy fat im 11 and 5 ft and wheigh 160 kids make fun of me and call me fat and fatso i get so annoyed at my belly its just so annoying and in the way all the time kids come up to me and poke a pencil at me belly and go i popped a balloon!i hate it it just bulges out and is squishy i am eatin only 1,400 calories a day.ITS NOT WORKING!i do have some good freinds but others are just mean.kids at school say im a boulder and i short and fat and weak wich i am not,pretty soon im gonna puch the sh** out of them!please write back i need help!

yeah that is really mean of them and even though you only have 1,400 calories a day you still have to do plenty of excersice and try to eat healthier..like running or jogging is a really good excerisce..just do what i do..stretch and then try to run 1 minute with out stopping and if you can do it then move on to 2 minutes but if you cant then keep trying until you get it and then go on to 2 minutes and then 3 and so forth. i can run 25 minutes without stopping and if you keep trying then you can too! good luck!

To put it simply you are either eating too much or not exercising enough. Weight loss occurs when you eat less energy than you expend. Sometimes we underestimate just how much we eat! Maybe you should journal what you eat and review what foods are problems like those high in fat and calories. Good luck!

i calorie counted, but it lead to obsession with food, and i became anerexic. i think the best way is to eat healthily.

Calorie and Fat gram counting is great. I really think it helps. I know that when I actually count out what I eat and keep track it really helps! It may take a little extra work, but it is definately worth it. Just try it, you'll see how much difference it makes to actually see what all you are consuming. Best Wishes To You :-)

They are empty calories and they have acid in them (especially diet pop) which can really hurt you. And it contributes to bone loss, which in later age can make you more likely to break a hip or arm. Second- Ban frozen foods. This will be hard for many of you, and I admit, I haven't fully been able to do this. This means things like t.v dinners, pizza rolls, and baked pizza. None of that is healthy for you and is full of perservatives and tons of calories. Third- Ban fast food. This means burgers, french fries, mozzerella sticks. Burgers are commonly refered to as "heart attack on a bun". I know, my brother works at a fast food restaruant. Remember a few other things, drink a lot of water, it will keep you full. To keep from eating less chew each fork-full of food 20 times and put your fork down in between bites. Then, before you go for seconds, wait 5 minutes and ask yourself, am I really full? I feel like I ate so much today, I had a bagel for breakfast, fries and gravy for lunch (I shared them) and a few chips in a class, I got home had dinner and then I ate like 4 cookies. I havent lost any weight since Ive started (im 5'1 and 138 lbs) but I havent gained any either. Im going to try to eat healthier. Good luck everyone, and also remember you cant get a nice stomache just from doing sit-ups you first have to lose the fat.

I dont really want or feel the need to count calories. I simply try to make better food choices and smaller portions...the thing is also though that when you eat at a school there is no way to know how many calories your eating, and in most cases its alot.

hi i am 5'1 and 128 pounds.I want to loose 13-15 pounds and want to loose it by christmas giving me about for weeks to loose the wieght.i am going to eat only salad for meals and become a vegitarian.evry morning i will walk for two hours and later at night i willl dance for an hour.please can any body tell me if iit is possible to loose that amout of weight in that time.And i was wondering if anyone needs a buddy.

The BEST advice I can give to everyone is to stop "dieting" or thinking of "losing weight". (both bad words). What you need to do is incorporate exercise and eating sensibly into your life forever. Stop obsessing about your "weight" and "diet". Do like I did to lose my weight, just gave up and starting my new life exercising everyday and eating right. I felt clear in my body. I still eat junk in moderation.(when I feel a craving I eat a little piece and then drink some water and go outside and walk). I lost a lot of weight in only 5 mos. I feel good in my new body. It feels good to be able to run and not get out of breath. It feels good to know my health is not at risk. My depression is almost gone, and my social anxiety is too.

Hey guys, thought I'd check in. Ok, so, I've got two things that some people might wanna try. Firstly I started my diet book. I record EVERYTHING that I eat and drink in it, and how much of it (ex: 1/2 cup popcorn, 1 8 oz. glass of coke...but thats not what i ate) And then how much I exersized that day, and what I'm going to improve on the next day. It's really helped me. Also, something I noticed the other day. I had on my music like usual and I was just dancing around my room like a six year old. But it's fun. Now, when I'm bored, I pick a song, and play it over and over, making up dance moves. When I'm done, I'll perform for my mom, or even (*flushes*) my stuffed animals...lol. Well, these are just some things that are working for me...O, bye the way. I'M DOWN 10 POUNDS! I was 240, and I'm 230 now. Lost that in just the last month. *~Hugs*N*Kisses*~
