Mags,
You are doing the right thing. I am now eating healthily and I feel great! Not only have I lost 16 pounds steadily but I feel fitter and my skin has got better. I am nearly at my goal weight. I felt bad at the beginning and a bit despondent but I am nearly there now but I will not go back to my old eating habits because I feel so much better now. I will never be thin - and I don't want to be - because that is genetics but neither will I be wobbling all over the place like I was before. Just remember that if you are positive then you will get there and don't worry if you have a bad day, just start the next day afresh. Good luck.

Whoa girl! Your body needs more food than just a peach! You can still eat food!!! If you starve your body like that, your metabolism slows down and you will end up gaining weight in the long run....Also, even though you might lose a couple pounds now, you'll gain them back really quickly as soon as you start eating normally again...a healthy weight loss is 2 pounds or less a week....I know this doesn't seem like a lot, and it seems like it will take forever to lose that weight, but it won't come back once you lose it! You need to eat....Try eating more dietary fiber (wheat bread, etc.) fruits, vegetables, and try cutting down on red meat. And switch to low fat foods or even fat free. You can still eat at regular meal times with a couple of snacks as long as you eat the right foods. You can e-mail me at Newton6109@aol.com!

You are so lucky to be tall. I am only 4 foot 9 and I won't get much taller because my parents are both small. First advice, forget what everyone else says about being 100 pounds. Why do they feel they need to boast? Probably because they are insecure. Also, if you are tall and big boned then you will be heavier anyway. If you are really worried then talk to the school nurse or a doctor. They will probably say that for your height and bone structure, you are about right. Anyway, think of it this way: you can lose weight but if these girls are short then they can't grow. I am one of the shortest in my class and chubby but I have just lost five pounds with a sensible diet. I accept my lack of height because I can't do anything about it but I think I have other great attributes that other people don't have. Make the most of what you have and stand tall. Forget what other people say. What is important is what you think. People that boast about things like weight or new clothes etc are usually insecure about themselves.

Good for you!!! Everyone should have a goal and be as optimistic about it as you are. Just make sure you don't try to lose it all at once. Work your way there. Goals are not won in one day, or even one week, for that matter. Keep up the spirit!!!
