I have been sick since Monday with a fever (104 was the highest) and an extremely bad sore throat. My mom is taking me in to the doctors today to see if I have strep. My problem is that since Monday I have lost 3.5 pounds in around two days... because it is around 9:45 in the morning right now. There is a noticable difference in my body (love handles... stomach). Is it a problem to be losing that much weight?

No because when you are sick it is really easy to lose weight, and normal because it is hard to eat. For example, Once when I had the stomach flu I lost like 6 pounds in three days, so to answer your qustion it is normal, and you won't lose that much weight that quickly afterwards though, cuz you won't be sick. But don't worry it's normal.

Dear Danielle, It depends how tall you are but if you know that you need to weigh 115 pounds go for it and don't get discouraged. Do it little by little, set 5-pound goals. Drink tons of water, and get involved in after-school activities, if there are any, it willl keep your mind off of food and you will socialize and make new friends. I fyour thinking, why should take advice from an overweight kid, let me tell you a little abou myself. I am 5ft 4in. tall and weight 132pounds. i am not fat but I am dieting and I wish I could be 115 too! but my goal is 120. Hey u guys, I am not really sure what to do you see my scales aren't very accurate, so I don't knw wether they are telling me he right weight. You see when I went to the Gym with my friend (I will probably never go there again as I am not a member), and they said I weighed about 14lbs more than what my scales at home. What should I do! The scales at the gym are probably more accurate, so maybe you should go to a clinic and asked to be weighed..? Just to find out which scale is correct.

Well it depends on ur height. I'm almost 15 and 5'2..and for my height and age the normal and healthy weight is 81-130. You should find out whats yours on the main page on this site. i think its called Weight Calculater, but im not sure. -:dee:-

Hey, Losing weight isn't going to happen overnight but it will happen if you stick with it that is a fact. My advice to you is drind lots of water and try to eat healthy foods. And do not eat at night like set a curfew for your eating and don't eat a lot of junk food Good luck!

you need to define wat you mean by ASAP.....there is no quick fix....good things take time........if u lose the weight fast youll gain it back fast...but if u take time to lose it ......you have a greater chance of not gaining it back......reduce your calories...exercise for atleast an hour everyday...and drink alot of water......there is no magic solution ...its a simple thing to a healthier lifestyle....ive lost 10lbs in 2 weeks doing that.....good luck

just try your hardest- but don't match the sizes with the weights- it doesn't work- belive me- i've lost about 17 pounds and i'm still the same size i started out as- i do look better- but i'm still the same pant size. i want to be a size 10 to- i think that it's possible and that you can do it. good luck!

If you weigh your self everyday, that could be the problem. You are only supposed to weigh in once a week because you weight flucuates 1-2 lbs everyday. Another anwser is clothing, if you wore really light pajamas and a tank top when you weighed yourself once then you wore jeans and a denim jacket the next time you weighed yourself then it wont be accurate because denim weighs A LOT more than like sweats or pajamas.

I am 5' 10" and 185 lbs. Right now, I am a 14-16 and can also wear juniors clothes. I wouldn't worry about the size... a 12 would be stunning, but just concentrate on exercising and doing cardio. If you do somehting that'll make you stronger like a special sport or weight lifting, you'll probably start to look smaller, but weigh more. That's the best thing you can do because I used to be the same as you (kinda' a big pants size and weight not much... That's because you can handle more muccle on you) and now I'm improving.

Today: 170 lb - hey everyone! im 170 lbs and a size 15/16. I would like to lose about 11 dress sizes and be about a size 4/5. weight and size aren't ratiod when you lose weight. i'm bigger then my friend and i'm 158 pounds and she's 165 and is smaller by 3 sizes and we're both pear shaped by the way. it really depends on where your body losses its weight from. so far i've lost 12 pounds and haven't lost a single pant size but my waist and under my breasts and arms have lost weight but i've only lost an inch off my hips and 2 inches off where my pants are a couple of inched below my belly button...
