well you are losing it you just dont notice because you see yourself all the time. Like lets say you didnt look at yourself for the whole time you were losing weight. after a week and a half you did look at urself, you would notice it all. you could try taking a picture of yourself (trying to show as much fat as you can.. dont worry you will LOVE yourself later for doing this) and then after a week or so take another in like the same postion and same clothes! U will notice a BIIIIGGG difference.

I fat and calorie counted to lose weight as well as 40 minutes exercise a day. It takes about a week to see any noticable results, but a few weeks before your clothes will fit different etc. Its heaps easier to just get into a healthy eating fitness regime daily and not think about the weight. Then youll put on a skirt or something one day and its just a suprise your like wow i cant believe this is too big! Its MUCH better to lose weight slowly cause i guarantee youll keep it off. Dont look at next week ill be skinny but in a few months. Be patient... it takes time! Just stick to it and youll get there. Any questions email me fruit_salad_yummy_yummy@hotmail.com

Today: 290 lb - Hi i was wondering if any one can give me some tips. I'm 290 pounds and amtrying to loose weight but i can;t in fact every time i weigh myself i am just fatter and fatter... some one please help me....

Ok your first mistake is to weigh yourself constently. If you don't loose weight it just makes you feel bad. Try a balenced diet or try to join a program. Exercise the most you possibly can. It makes you feel better and it helps you loose weight. Ok a tip for weighing yourself is to weigh 1 a week or month that way its less depressing

No matter what i do im always gaining weight! I diet well I exercise about 9 hours a week and eat properly and keep gaining weight, even if i do gain some kind of fat like say i had a bad day and gained 2 pounds it wont go away! I HATE THIS!!!!!!

Sounds to me like you're gaining weight because you are gaining muscle. If you are sore the next day after a work out, then you are gaining muscle, and of course, muscle weighs more than fat, so don't worry about it. It will aid in weight loss in the future! =D.

Today: 145 lb - hey guys, im new, im 14 and 145, i recently went on a diet, this is what i eat: breakfast-fruit, lunch-small sandwich no mayo, snacks: fruits and veggies, dinner-half of whatever my mom cooks, for example some soup or something similar. please reply to tell me if this will work in your opinion. One more thing, i weighed myself last night and the scale indicated that i had lost two pounds, but this morning when i weighed myself again, the two pounds were back on. whats up with that? please reply!

the weigh gain could be due to a number of things, such as fluid retention, or maybe you ate somethin or need to go to the bathroom. our weight fluctuates every day by up to 2 pounds either way as our bodies gain water and food and use it and lose it etc. SO, what the best thing to do is weigh yourself once a week at the same time, eg i do it every monday morning. also, a better way to keep track of your fat loss is to measure your chest and waist etc. hope this helps!

Today: 182 lb - Since I last posted here my weight has been going up and down. Last week sometime, I got on the scale and I weighed 175 (the day before, I had weighed myself and I was 181). Then I gained weight again, and I was 182. Then I went down to 179, and now I'm at 182. If anyone knows how I went from 181 to 175 in just 1 day, tell me. I think it's just water weight, but I'm not completely sure.

it could have been water weight but u also could have been wearing heavier clothes or u had ure sneaks on one of the times or if u had if one of the times u had eaten right before u weighed ureself and the other time ure stomach was empty any of those could have contributed to it

Trust me 120lbs at 5'0 IS NOT THAT BAD! Don't tune me out yet though. I understand the fact you still look fat. So instead of dropping 20 lbs asap (which by the way is not really healthy) try to build and tone your muscles. Focus on excercising every muscle. If you focus on muscles and eating healthy (that means following the food pyrimid) you'll be on your way to a very healthy lifestyle. Not only will you look great but youll feel even better. And if you keep it up every day, you WILL see results.

I've lost 22 lbs. Just exercise, Aerobics did it for me. Don't eat as much sugar, or unhealthy stuff. Eat morefruit. Don't go cold turkey with sugar. Once you start to lose weight, it will get harder so i suggest to give your self a easy exercise plan at first and build up. Take small steps when you eat. Start to eat less, then when your stomach adjusts to that, you can reduce your food intake a little more, and so on. Hopl this will help you.

has anyone lost weight quickly?if u did then how much did u lose, how long did it take u and what did u do and eat to lose it?
Reply From Jay, Age 13 - 11/01/02 - IP#: 152.163.188.xxx show message replied to go to original board
You shouldn't try to lose weight quickly. Even though it would be great especially if u want to be slim in time for a special event or something but chances are that if you lose weight quickly you will gain it back just as quickly. So it would be better to just take the time and do it slower way by exercising everyday and eating right.

Hey Maddie! Please don't starve yourself, it will only make things worse. It will slow your metabolism down so you actually won't burn as many calories, your body thinks it will not get enough food so it starts holding on to as much food as it can, and using less energy each day. So when you eat normally again you might GAIN weight. You say you are gaining weight, well don't go by the scale, you may gaining muscle which weighs more than fat. You should go by how your clothes are fitting, if they are getting looser than you are losing fat! Try keeping track of your progress by using a measuring tape, measure your hips(butt), waist, chest and thighs. (Also if you do weight lifting that would be building more muscle than cardio) You will see that you WILL lose weight as long as you are eating less calories than you use, and doing cardio every day helps a lot.
