Oh I hate those phases! But don't give up! And don't wait for the phase to end - just start exercising and do better now. I find that when I'm struggling with eating good and exercising and I start to be good again I learn the most because I'm challenging my tolerance and resistance. Don't look back and beat yourself up over not doing the best. Just look forward and try your best to do the best you can do! Good luck!

Ht. 5'3", Start: 263 lb, Today: 217 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 200 lb - stop beating yourself up for the "bad" food choices you made its okayyy just learn from it and keep going ,,, when i make a bad eating choice after im done eating it i think of how my body feels and if it was really worth it eating it again , like mccdonalds for instance last time i ate it and went to the gym i felt HORRIBLE ! my heart was beating wayyyy to fast and my workout wasnt enjoyable =/ and eating something healthy gave me the exact opposite feeling i felt great and energized =D ,,, so my point is if you dont feel slumpy after eating it and if you didnt eat too much of it your fine stop worring so much :))

When I gained all the weight I had lost last year I was so upset, and here I am trying to relose it. Don't do it to yourself! The ice cream, the breads and chips are not worth it! I promise you, you'll regret it if u gain it back. Just get back on track. Make 2 healthy choices every day. Or at least 1. And just move in any way for 10 minutes every day and it'll make a huge difference. It's not the end of the world, just get yourself back on track again. Good luck

It's okay! Mistakes happen. The important thing is that you don't let it get you down. Just pick yourself right back up...from here on out, eat healthy foods & keep exercising. Don't let one mistake ruin all of the success you've made to date, you can do it!
PS- remember this feeling next time you feel like binging!

set backs will always be there no matter how hard we try, but it's how we handle them that counts. I've been there time and time again even now when i'm so determined and focus i sometimes over eat. But i keep trying because one bad thing will not throw away all this hard work. Keep going don't dwell on your mistakes losing wieght is hard ennough without putting ourselves down. You can do this =)

I've been there many times =). It happens even when we have the best of intentions. My advice: accept that you over-ate (but don't allow it to turn you from all of your hard work) and let tomorrow begin as a fresh start.
Keep up the amazing work you're doing!

Jeimi!
Congrats on losing 31 pounds! That's not easy and it's a great start! Sometimes it is hard, but you can obviously do it - you've already started to! There's definitely hope and it isn't going to be easy but you CAN get there.
I found that when I started out, my biggest downfall was learning that falling off the wagon didn't mean it was all over. Sometimes, I'd eat one bad thing then think..."oh I've ruined it..I'll just keep eating badly." That is the kind of thinking that gets us into trouble! We need to start realizing that even if we get a little off track, there's no reason why we can't immediately go right back on track. (it seems so simple, but when you're thinking like that, it's not simple at all).
Anyway, if you ever need some extra support just post and we're all here to help. Just keep at it and you're going to get there.

good job on the lose and thanks for your reply on your last post. It's ok to fall of track but whats not ok is to stay there. I'll be starting college on monday and i know how much horrible food is there, but there's also healthy food just eleiminate one bad thing at a time stop the sode one week then stop the fried foods another week make small changes those are the ones that last. Good luck this week and god bless you =)

Congrats on losing some weight! I definitely know what it feels like to lose motivation. It sucks. But you can do it! And that's right, tomorrow is another day. If you screw up a day, there's always the next day. And the next and the next. :) Keep at it, it'll be worth it.

I know exactly how you feel! I use to be in the 180s and now I'm a pound away from leaving the 130s for good! And I use to be discouraged after bingeing and gaining my way back up to the start. But I always reinforced to myself that "if I lost that weight with hard work, why should I gain it back by easily having junk food in a short period of time?" And I get disgusted myself and I made goals like you did. And yes you can lose 40 pounds by September!! Just don't give up please!! You can do it!!

Hey Scarlett (:
I know exactly what you are going through because I too was around 181-185 not long ago and had the toughest time to STOP indulging in sweets and fast foods. I remember I would tell myself “you will run and lose this fat off once and for all” and I would and then a matter of hours past buy and I would be eating a bowl of ice cream. Pathetic eh? I know! I remember how distressing it would be to say you would lose the weight but lack any form of motivation and moments later you are back to scare one. It’s really hard! We know it’s hard but it gets easier after ingraining this in your mind. You have to teach yourself discipline and always repeat to yourself how much you want this and how much you want to end this battle as the winner. And its perfectly fine to get off track once in awhile but don’t let that be a crotch for you but allow it to motivate you even... (view more)

Hey, dont wrry too much about it. I go through that quite often, unfortunetly. Just work it off the next day, and try not to repeat past eating actions. I appologize for my odd linquisics, I am taking a creative writing class. But, anyhow, keep up the good work and reach our destiny..er...goal.

Dont worry we all have those days where u just wanna give up and plain not try anymore, so ur completely normal. And seriously i wish I could just wake up one day and be skinny but of course life isn't that easy. Here's my advice if ur just starting off. Use this place! Here we are all in the same position so use us when u have a bad day or need tips or whatever. Start posting on here what ur eating and what u are doing for exercise. Not only are people gonna comment on how u did but it will really help just typing in what u are doing for urself each day so u know. Good luck, stay strong!
