Ht. 5'4'', Wt. 190 - Hi my name is Nicole. And i have never had problems with my weight until i got my period and i strted junior high! and now that i am going into 8th grade i want to loose the wieght but i dont know how! Here is what i ate today, brealfest,,--twix with whole milk and a cinnabon, lunch- peanut butter and banana sandwich on white with a glass of chocolate milk, and dinner i had a beef sandwich with onion rings. I know i need to strt eating healyier bt doew anyone have any tips to strt losing wieght and my large stomach and stretch marks! wellThnks for the help!! Love Nicole

Cut way down on majorly fat-saturated stuff (like butter,mayo,whole milk). When you want a snack,eat fresh fruit as a snack or string mozzarella cheese. When you go to a store ask your mom or dad to park farther away so you can walk more. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Try to drink soda rarely and drink low-fat milk and water instead. Don't deprive yourself completely of uhealthy stuff 'cause then you'll want it more and end up completely pigging out on it (it happens). For regular exercise, start small and eventually build up. Right now I am speed walking and jogging 5 days a week. When I started out, I could barely run a lap and right now I can still only run 2 laps (a 1/2 mile) but tonight I am going to a track and trying to jog 3 laps. My goal is to run 4 laps in less than ten minutes at school when we run the mile in P.E. (Ugh!). I hope this advice can somehow help you.

Reply from Emilee, Age 12 - 08/15/06 - IP#: 67.40.219.xxx what i would suggest is that you start finding healthy alternatives that keep you full because if you go on a crash diet you will be hungrier for bad foods instead of good ones. I would also suggest getting an hour of excercise everyday walking running pilaties. Even doing crutches while you are watching TV will help a lot.

Reply from ruti, Age 14 - 08/13/06 - IP#: 71.163.18.xxx onion rings BAD, whole milk BAD, twix BAD, white bread BAD, honestly eating so much junk is obvioously gonna make u fat. u have to eat healthy in order to lose weight and maybe run a mile if u cant run it yet run as much of it as u can and walk the rest. slowly up it to 2-3 which should be enough but from what it seems u HAVE to start eating healthy all this junk is so bad for u body, heart, long run health and wont help u lose weight. my advice get serious. small steps go a long way. and be patient hunny. god bless you.
