Ht. 5'2-5'7, Wt. 195 - hey people! I see everyone helping people out there with their weight problems, and i used to be one of the people helping...Now im the one who needs help. I am overweight and i don't want to be! This morining i woke up and I weighed 190..and now im 195.. and i havnt ate anything! I ran on the tredmil for half and hour, and look-y-me! 195...... Anyone out there have dieting tips, or wieght loss tips, or tips to help me feel good about myself?? Reply PLEASE! I'm Desprate!

Reply from Isabella, Age 12 - 02/23/06 - IP#: 68.46.182.xxx Hey Sarah. You're not alone. I'm Izzy, and I'm in the seventh grade and weigh 181 lbs. I have lost 3 lbs and it's only been a week! You're probably think that's SO little, but let me tell you, when you're desperate one pound starts to get your energy pumping! OK, so start small. First, look at yourself in the mirror (no whining, crying allowed!)smile, and say, "Good-bye!" to the old you. Print out one of the "don't pig out" posters from this site( I'd recommend 2) to put 1 on the back of your room door and the other on the fridge. Now, do you like to play sports? I hate them. I know you probably don't like em either. But, unfortunatly, you do need to exercize to loose weight! Start by doing 10 jumping jacks, 5 crunches, and 5 push-ups everyday after school. Gradually you can increase your time and maybe buy a half-hour workout video and some handweights. Don't foget, sports like volleyball require a lot of standing and not as much running, so feel free to sign up for those too! As for food, it'll take some time to adjust to your new habits, but it won't be so hard after a week or so. Start by cutting back on candy, drink lots of water, and AVOID soda at ALL costs except for SPECIAL occasions! Lastly,try to not to ask for seconds at dinner, and try to eat at least 1 fruit, one veggie, and 1 yogurt (or milk)a day to get you started. Good luck, and I hope I helped!
