Ht. 5'4", Wt. 143 G130 - ok so i did atkins once i droped about15lbs but after i went off it i got it all back + like 5. so my Q is if i do atkins for everything but have some bread or something with dinner might i not get the weight back(if you dont get what im saying sorry)

Nutritionally, the Atkins Diet is terrible. It's an unhealthy way to lose weight. It's not uncommon for someone to lose a significant amount of weight within days after beginning the Atkins nutrition regimen. But in fact, what you're losing is muscle glycogen (stored energy within the muscles) and body water. The minute you go back to eating regular meals that contain carbohydrates, you'll gain double the weight you were before you started the program. If someone were to be consistent with the Atkins Diet, they may run into the following problems: acetone breath, gout (painful inflammation of the joints), high cholesterol (LDL = bad), kidney damage, weakness, bad (acne) or dry skin, thinning hair, increased risk of heart attack, yellowish instead of white eye balls, set back or sunken eye balls, catabolism (muscle loss), frequent urination, vitamin and mineral loss, mood swings, headaches, dizzy spells, and other health related problems due to improper nutrition balance.

If you come off your diet, than, yeah, you'll probably will gain it back. DONT DO DIETS!!!!!! Change your eating habits, so you can stick to them for the rest of your life. Dieting is for a short period of time, lifestyle changes should last forever!!

No I don't think its the problem. I really don't think adkins works correctly. Cuz just like any diet its just that. A diet. Its not a lifestyle. So if your not that active just cut out bad carbs. But not completely. Don't eat as much bread...whenever possible exchange it for something else. Carbs arent the enemy. And I don't really understand the adkins thing... cuz yes ur cutting out carbs... which turns into sugar when it hits ur saliva... but ur eating like twice as much fat... w/e if it works for u it works.
