Ht. 5'9, Wt. 175 - Hi I'm Sammy, I'm new here. This seems like a really cool site! Well my problem is last year, I used to weigh 150, and now I've gained 25 pounds!!! I used to eat heathly, but one day I just stopped and its been downhill from there. I ran track last winter and spring, but I was lazy and wanted to go slow. Then I used track as a exuse to eat everything and anything I wanted. My portion sizes are huge, I just can't stop eating, I eat when I have nothing else better to do. Every night I tell myself, okay tomarrow I'll eat heathly and start up running again, but it NEVER happens!! I'm not saying I want to be a size 2, I just want to be strong and fit. I want to look good for back to school, and right now my self cofindence is at a all time low. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! thanks so much

Sammy, I totally understand you. i weighed 120 in second grade and now i'm going into eigth grade at 174. (i still lost ten pounds since feb, but i need to loose more! :0] that's about 10 lbs gained a year.but you know what, now, now i'm gonna have to but a dress for this big 8th grade dance (like amini prom kind of) and i really wanna be 160 by that time, which is may. just be proud you're taking the first steps to stop the weight gain and start reversing! lots of support, Izzy

You remind me alot of me. I don't do track, but I tell myself I will start eating healthy the next day and it never happens. Start slow. Slowly start cutting out the junk food. Even ask your parents if you could get more healthy stuff (I'm not saying everything in your house might be junk food, but everyone has it) Eat smaller portions and exercise alot! It will help shrink your stomach and you will eat less, or so I've heard. drink lots of water, stay away from juices, pop especially diet, because that's actually what makes you gain weight. It also has aspartame and theres rumors going around it's a cause of cancer. It's bad for you anyways. Do lots of cardio for excersize, walk everyday, even crunches help! Maybe get some aerobics tapes, they help get your heart going and burn lots of calories. I'm sure you know all this so I'll stop typing :] good luck

you dont necessarily need to start at the beginning of the day. if you feel like that now, eat a healthy dinner, and go for a run, or whatever. it will be easier for you to start in the morning, if you already did for the evening.

ok babe, we can do this! We are officially starting tomorrow and we are going BIKINI SHOPPING in february together! woot! haha so eat healthy, excersice, and we'll have to go back to our every night phone calls to keep us motivated. love you, good luck!
