Ht. 5'5, Wt. Too much - Someone mentioned earlier that the best way to tone arms is to lift weights. I've been doing 100 reps of 20 lb bicep curls everyday since April 8....my arms have bigger muscles when i flex, but they arent toning...they are still the ONLY place I have not lost inches. Its driving my crazy. I do bicep curls with 20 lbs (dont tell me its too much--i spent a year working my way up to it) and 5 lbs stretching my arms straight out while doing squats. I've lost 5 inches in my thighs doing it, yet none in my arms.

sorry, i know you dont want to hear it, but you are lifting too much. For body building, you want few reps, more weight. for toning, you want less weight, more reps.

well if your not doing cardio with it...then that might be why...
your body might be so used to the bicep curls by now that its no longer effective. The place where most arms need toning is in the tricep area, not the bicep. So try some exercises that involve your triceps....put the weight behind your head and do some reps of those. That should help. Also, push ups work really well! you can try all different ways to do push ups that target different areas. I know, thier really really tough, but once you work up to it, it will get better, and its so worth it in the end!! I hope I helped!
