Ht. 5'8, Wt. 195 - Last week i bought "The Diet for Teenageers Only" and found outh that if i followed that program i would need to consume 2000 calories. That seems like way too much when i am trying to lose weight. I use to stick with 1200-1400 and then once I up it up 800 i constantly feel like I am over eating. It says for BMI of 29 and up to eat that (i am 29.something I think), but people with bmi of 28 eat 1600...do you think it would be more effective if I did that program instead. I mean its only a matter of of one point??? I kinda am confused on what to do-1600(although not matching BMI) or 2000(corrosponding with BMI). Any help is greatly appreciated.Thx

Not to be rude, but just because you had no success, don't tell her that she wont have any. By saying,"It doesn't work", you are setting her up for failure. She is automatically going to think, O well I better not do it. And maybe, it will work wonders for her.

The reason why you need so many calories is because your growing!! yOur growing untill your 21 and espechally for girls we are putting on fat that we need to have a baby. If your going to go on a diet do what it says. I would sugest just being healthy myself.
