Ht. 5'3, Wt. 144 - Hello, people. I would like to get down to 115 pounds, so I have 29 pounds to lose. I'm planning on cutting out all sweets, sweet drinks, dairy, (I'm taking calcium pills and vitamins), plus cutting out bread and starches, then walking my dog about two miles and then going on the treadmill for about 1 hour a day. do you think this will work? today so far I've had one banana and two glasses of water...

hey hun..dairy helps you lose weight. like... try some low fat yogurt.. danons light n fit is sooo good

ok. then I'll eat everything in moderation. and I have to have calcium pills because milk gives me a stuffy nose. and the calcium supplements are just as good as getting it from cheese or milk. but thank you for your help.

Sounds like you won't be eating enough to suport your body plus there is no way Calcium from pills is as good as getting it from milk, yogurt, and other low fat/fatfree dairy.

But are you committed enough to keep your diet like that for the rest of your life. Because the moment you introduce those foods back into your life, you will gain all the weight back. Dieting should not be about cutting things out completely, but moderating your portions and exercising-as cliche as it may sound.

How many calories are you planning to have a day? And I think you should eat more than a banana. Try like oatmeal, yogut, or cereal for breakfast. Or grapefruit.
