Ht. 5'7, Wt. 180 - so i just wanted to mention this, because it seems liek you guys think you can never have dessert or junk food. personally, i can't survive without it and if i skipped it, i'd just binge. its perfectly ok to let yourself have a little something every night (or if you feel better, every other night).. its calories that matter, not what you eat, so if you save yourself 150 calories then go ahead and have something.. plus, i tell my self if i eat junk food during the day i can't have my dessert at nighjt (which i always look foward to) so it prevents me from snacking more. thats my tip =) haha good luck everyone.

Reply from sara, Age 14 - 10/24/06 - IP#: 71.212.71.xxx it is wat u eat that matters like the amount of fat calories is the biggest factor but ur body works better on natrul foods
Reply from Isabella, Age 13 - 10/24/06 - IP#: 72.92.122.xxx OKAy, food does count more than calories, and yes, you should try to geyt some nutrients out of it, but I totally get what you're saying! My current goal is to stop eating sweets more than 2 a week (my doc recommended that to me) and so far I've ben doing pretty good, But a cookie now and then toally helps to take the edge off!
Reply from Orcy, Age 15 - 10/24/06 - IP#: 70.172.200.xxx well yeah it matters more, but still you could have 1500 calories worth of ice cream and still lose weight, because its calories that matter. but still yeah, i agree with everything you guys said. basically im just saying dont be afraid to treat yourself a little
Reply from Hannah, Age 16 - 10/24/06 - IP#: 68.227.170.xxx You have that backwards- What your eating matters MORE than the calories Because you could eat 2,000 calories worth of vegtables and fruit and you would DEFINATLY be way more healthy than some one that ate 2,000 calores worth of junk food...
Reply from sarah, Age 16 - 10/24/06 - IP#: 69.65.208.xxx but.. try and make sure you have something with not so much fat or sugar.. because you could have 150 calories worth of fruit and a lil whipped cream.. with not very much fat..or you could have 150 calroies of pudding or cake.. with lots of fat.. you know?? if you are going to eat calories.. try and get some sort of good nutrient from it.
Reply from Orcy, Age 15 - 10/24/06 - IP#: 70.172.200.xxx and by its calories that matter, not what you eat, i don't mean you can have 1500 calories worth of ice cream, you still need to eat healthy to get all your nutrients but if you only have like 1300 calories, go ahead and have dessert.
