Ht. 5'2, Wt. 190 - ok so in august i happily weighed 180 lbs, not too bad bc it wasnt my worst. BUT THEN I GOT A JOB guess where??? MCDONALDS. talk about weight gain. im 190 and rising... on top of that my school lunches suck, and i hardly get enough sleep... can anyone help at all?... oh and my only excersise is working.. on my feet and switching classes.. not good.. but i need dire help - tj. (im a girl)

Reply from Kayla, Age 15 - 10/29/06 - IP#: 68.229.76.xxx I always like to get the soups at school. They're just cheap cambels but they fill you up and are good for you. Try to bring some in a thermas. Try any low calorie version you like. They're quick and easy and you have variety.

Reply from T.J., Age 16 - 10/29/06 - IP#: 68.46.163.xxx It isnt all that easy... and no my school doesnt have any fruits. they have a salad but the dressings are out rageously fattning. and i dont like turkey... i know im hard. but the salads at mcdonals are loaded with chese and they are premade. i only drink diet soda when i drink soda now. but it dont help thaty my school sells soda and let a lone my favorite.. cherry pepsi. so i tend to drink that like once or twice a day... and about the sleep thing i work a lot of times until 11 pm. i am thinkin about getting another job... i dont know but it wont be till after the holiday.. it might be less hours but i think it will be better.

Reply from Orcy, Age 15 - 10/29/06 - IP#: 70.172.200.xxx ok well, try to pack your own lunch for school. you can buy fruits and veggies, turkey, whole grain bread, water, etc. if you have to buy lunch, does your school offer something better, like salads or turkey sandwiches? most schools offer fruits and veggies so eat some of that. and always buy water or milk. avoid soda and juice with high amounts of sugar. as far as work, try to eat something before you go to hold you over until you get home. Or, Mcdonalds does have a few healthy options. you can get a fruit and walnut salad (try to avoid the walnuts though, they contain a lot of the calories), other salads (without fried chicken though or high fat dressing) etc. if you don't want to do that, one of the healthies things is the plain old hamburger, because its relativily small and isn't loaded with other crap. as far as sleep, try to get eight hours a night. find away to organize your time. Maybe you could get home from school, do all your homework, relax for like, 1/2 an hour, go for a jog or do an exercise video or some form of exercise, shower, then go to work. that why, when you get home your can just have something to eat if your hungry and then go right to bed. hope i helped, good luck!
