Ht. 5'4", Wt. 174 - HELP!!!!!!!!!I need serious help! in the past 2 years, i have gained 45 pounds!!!!! I don't know what to do to start my diet, but i really need to loose some weight! can anybody give me some tips on proper eating and good exercise. PLEASE!!!! thank you

Hey Claira! Okay, well first of all I understand how you feel. Until this year I gained 10 lbs every year for 5 years!!! So, be proud you took this first step to being healthy.. There are 3 "tools" needed in order to loose weight: a scale, measuring tape, and some (2-3 lbs., leter you can use 3-5lbs) handweights. Now, you should buy The Diet for Teenagers Only! It's a $20 book that will repay itself over and over! In the past year I have lost nearly 20 lbs (17 to be exact!) It's not a fad diet. It shows you how to start living healthily and get the body you want. And it shows you how to eat well for a teenager, cuase be need certain nutrients! Before you start, go to your docotor and see what weight is best for your weight and hieght and body type. Once a week weigh yourself first thing in the morning after you relieve yourself and with no shoes one. Once a month measure you waist, hips, and thighs to track your progress. Good luck, girl! I beleive in you! I know you can do this. It will take time, but remember there are no healthy quick fixes and in the end you'll be very happy! :0) ~ Isabella
