Ht. 5'3", Wt. 170 - ok. well i used to be obese at 240 pounds and in one year i dieted and exercised and now my weight is around 170ish and well now i'm just considered as overweight. i'm proud of what i have accomplished, but i still have some way to go. i've been struggling for 2 years now to lose 30 pounds. which is all i need and i'll be happy with my weight. i dont understand how i was able to lose 70 pounds in a year, but now im not even able to lose 30 pounds :[ i keep going on and off diets. i still love excersize but never find the time. i gain weight and then i lose it but then i gain it again idk. like this week i did a diet for a week and then today i probably gained 2 pounds seriously i dont know what to do anymore i guess im not as inspired but i really want to lose the rest of this weight. pleaaassee help me any advice :]
Reply from Molly, Age 14 - 12/27/06 - IP#: 24.208.36.xxx i understand what your saying completely... i used to be considered obese at 174 because im so short 5'1" and the first 50lbs. came off with a little effort... now i'm down to 116 but the last 8 lbs. took me about 3 months and i want to lose about 10 more and its almost impossible right now since i live in wisconsin and its too cold to excercise outside plus i dont have gym until second semester (starts in like 25 days!) but stay strong it'll just come of slowly and gradually if you stay healthy!
Reply from Isabella, Age 13 - 12/27/06 - IP#: 72.94.76.xxx I suggest the Diet for Teenagers Only, which really isn't a diet but it shows you how to slowly change your life to good eating habits, exercise, and confidence! Buy it for $20 or less on Amazon.com or any book store. I love that it's specifically designed for teens and their nutritional needs! :0) And congrats, you lost an amazing amount of weight!
Reply from Orcy, Age 15 - 12/27/06 - IP#: 70.172.200.xxx well for one thing, even if you did things exactly the same you wont lose weight as fast as you did the first year (and congrats on that by the way, thats awesome). Thats because your metabolism was faster when you weighed more. Its hard to get back on track but you can always find time to exercise, even if its just 10 minutes at a time a couple times a day. Work exercise into your daily routine. Like, do squats while you brush your teeth, etc. Exercising might get you motiviated to eat healthier to. Good Luck!
