Ht. 5'5", Start: 190 lb, Today: 165 lb, Goal: 130 lb - Brisk walking is my main source of cardio exercise right now. How many miles do you think I should do, or for how long? In a few weeks, track starts, and I'm going to do it with a few of my friends. Once again, for how many miles or for how long would be a good workout for running?

about two or three would be good... also if your running track and you live in a neighborhood to get you inshape so you dont feel kinda weird like i did when i first did it is every three mail boxes sprint to the next one and either jog or walk between each sprint just change it up and it will work out amazing... and you might not want to count mileage just do time like do ten minutes of that and then the next day do fifteen just up it every day and DONT FORGET TO STRETCH!!!
