Reply from Mikayla, Age 16 - 03/24/07 - IP#: 67.161.100.xxx If you can, run longer. For my pace, 20 minutes is about 1.8 to 2 miles running and 10 minutes is less than a mile when I walk. Experts say you should try to get in at least 5 miles a day. If you can't run longer which is totally understandable, just extend your walk. I recommend using a pedometer.

If you have been doing your workouts for a while you could up the days you don't have tennis to an hour, running as much of it as you can. Also, what does your eating look like? Exercising is only half of the equation. But you already lost three pounds. that really is a huge deal...you can't lose 40 pounds without starting off with a single one. Just keep at it and know that it probably won't happen overnight.
