Ht. 5'5", Start: 190 lb, Today: 159 lb, Goal: 130 lb - Hey guys, I was just wondering if you could help me clarify something. Is it true that if you do one different type of cardio(instead of what you normally do on a daily basis)once a week, it'll help you from hitting a plateau? Thanks for the help!

Yeah, that's what they say. I guess it prevents your body from getting used to the workout and adapting to it so it doesnt work as hard as it did when you started doing it. But if you switch up your routine, your body won't get used to it and it will work harder.

Yea. Its good to switch up your workouts and calorie intake for the day. Like if your eating 1500 calories a day u could do 1500 x 7 = 10500. Thats your intake for the week. So maybe on Monday u could eat 1600 and then on Tuesday u could have 1700 etc. Keep doin that for the week until u get to 10500. It helps trick your body so that it wont get use to the same thing and it'll keep you from hitting a plateau. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
