We're all teenagers here, and I'm sure this is common. I'm so stressed especially with college coming and all and I just find myself binging after school. On most days I'm good but somedays I just explode. Also, along with a good diet of 5-6 small meals everyday...are situps and crunches effective to tone the stomach? I also do aerobic exercise which works the whole body and then I do those situps/crunches (100 of them a day) There was something on ET (Entertainment tonight) that said crunches are not effective. Can someone clear this up?

I aswell am worried about College, and I am going to be a senior next year. So, this is constantly on my mind.
Reply from Amanda, Age 18 - 05/08/07 - IP#: 63.135.14.xxx well they do build muscle (which burns more fat) but it won't flatten your stomach because it just targets the muscles under the fat. basically, if you were looking to get abs from crunches and situps you'd have to wait until your body fat percentage was low enough for your muscles to show through. they do strengthen your core muscles though, i do them occasionally but i dont rely on them to make my stomach flatter. the aerobics take care of the fat
