Reply from Lyndsay, Age 15 - 05/30/07 - IP#: 71.121.197.xxx The frys and the ice cream cone was very bad. Those should be occasional treats only. Bagels are healthy as long as you don't have too much cream cheese or anything but when you eat pretzels with them that is unbalanced and too carby. Eat a fruit, veggie, or both in every meal. Always eat a healthy breakfast within an hour of when you wake up. Chocolate milk is alright, but it'd be better to drink 1% milk.

Reply from Claire, Age 18 - 05/30/07 - IP#: 64.131.205.xxx oh no, not friess and a cone! 400 cals is a lot. Try eating something more nutritious after school ok? but I know how it is. It's getting hot and we all need ice-cream and I love french fries but I never get any anymore. Everytime my brother or sister gets from McDonalds, I just ask them for 2 or 3 fries but I never get my own. As long as you can exercise it off and not eat McDonalds everyday, it's fine. Was the bagel whole wheat? if not, try eating whole wheat bagel with low fat cream cheese (it tastes realllly good!) instead of butter and skip the pretzels...save those for a snack with something else but not for breakfast. I love pretzels myself but I try to eat less of those now because of all the salt and salt-less pretzels taste pretty bad to me. Instead of chocolate milk, try 2% or skim milk if they have that in choc then it's fine. Did you exercise? You just have to make these little changes in your meals and everything will be hunky dory :) Good Luck!
