Ht. 5'8", Start: 290 lb, Today: 290 lb, Goal: 170 lb - Hi. My names Connor and obviously im obese. I need some exercising tips on how to flatten my stomach before school starts again in September. I really want to join the swim team in school this year but I dont like taking my shirt off in public. My gut hangs down past my waist and I jiggle all over. I want to be strong and fit for swimming please help.

hi connor! first just let me tell you that i think it`s great that you want to get fit, good for you! and also, having a motivation behind your weightloss,often makes the weight loss more successful because you`re working towards something. i often find that making slight changes over time work better for me than just making drastic changes to the way i eat. i don`t know what your diet is, but if you eat a lot of sweets or fatty foods, (2-3daily) just start by limiting yourself to 1 a day..and then once you get used to that, add in 2 more servings of fruits/vegetables..once you find it easier to eat healthier, then it`s a good idea to add in exercising, running,or even walking, is GREAT exercise, it works your whole body, so i highly recommend that. and also, since you want to be on the swim team, and summers just around the corner, it would be a good idea to start swimming before school starts so you can build up tolerance to the sport, and its great exercise! one more thing: don`t always expect immediate results..it will take time! best of luck! :)

ok well im over weight also but here are some affective tips situps when you wakeup and before bed (start at 25 work it up) and also any time your just layin down watchin tv just start doing situps then also run running helps you lose weight everywere, and try to cut down on junk food also find a pool and just start swimming and be4 skool starts if u follow those youll lose s lot of weight GL :D tell me how it works

i'm on swimteam and used to hate being in a bathing suit, which is why i didn't join till this year(before this year i wasn't on swimteam for 4 years!)and i'm so glad i swim now because i love it and i'm always with my best friend when i swim =D just start off with eating healthier, and then you can add exercising =D

work your way up from maybe 25 starting to 100 by the end of the month in cruches before bed
try riding a bike also
