Ht. 5'5", Start: 187 lb, Today: 181 lb, Goal: 150 lb - I am only 13 and I weigh 181!!! I'm startng to keep a food diary and I'm eating much healthier and slower now, but I can't manage to lose much weight. I play soccer 5 times a week, go jogging daily, and I do yoga 100% of the time, but I feel strange. My doctor told me that most of what she thought was fat is muscle. But 181 seems a tad ridiculous. I have broad shoulders and waaaaay muscular calfs from soccer, but my stomach goes over my jean line so I don't think that's good. My arms are pretty weak as well although I play goalie.... Your goal is close to reasonable. In order to lose the weight safely, you should only lose two pounds per week. When you're starting out, you will undeniably lose more than two pounds as your body tries to adapt to your new lifestyle. I'd say you should shoot for between 18-20 pounds as your goal. =)
