Ht. 5'6", Start: 215 lb, Today: 211 lb, Goal: 150 lb - so...has anybody ever done the raw food diet? i don't want to go that far- but i was thinking about going at least 50% raw. my older sister went raw and has lost sooo muc weight sooo quickly. she always used to be bigger than me but she went from 230lbs to about 150lbs in a pretty short amount of time! but- i don't think she was completely health with the transformation because i don;t think she ate enough, so i will be careful to eat enough to do it in a healthier way. i have been looking at before/after pics and omg- the change is incredible in people who go raw and their skin is so radient! let me know what you guys think...

wow thanks. im definitely going to try that. i tried to make to make raw chocolate cupcakes, but the directions said to mix everything in a food processor and i don't have on sooo i tried to se a blender and that didn't work out too well. it wasn't strong enough so it just ended up a big mushy mess...but the mush was still good lol. where did you find the chocolate recipe at?

omg. i totally want to make a raw pizza- and holy crap- i made raw chocolate last night and ate chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate covered raw almonds! my boyfriend who hate everything his sister (who eats raw) makes loved it and couldn't tell the diff. between my raw chocolate and real processed chocolate!
you use raw agave nectar, coconut oil(i would like to find an alternative to cut down on fat), and raw cacoa powder- it is so easy and delicious and has so much fiber and protien!!!

yea that's like the exact same thing i did. i attempted to eat whole vegetables for dinner and stuff, but that didn't work out too well. except for stuff like celery, and carrotts and corn. but it seems like you pretty much know what you're doing. but omg have you looked at the pictures of some of the raw things you can make? it looks soo good. i really wanna take a raw "cooking" class. good luck!

thanks! yeah- i'm not planning on buying any specific equipment until i know i will actually use it- so for the next few days i'm planning on focusing on large organic salads and raw nuts and dehydrated berries (dehydrated by trader joes- no me), as well as fruits and i'm planning on having one non raw meal at night which will probably consist of salmon or some other meat...any other suggestions?

yea i've tried to do it. i never went completely raw, but like 50-75%. and let me tell you it was hard. i havent' been able to stick to it.i mean, yea to really do it right you have to eat A LOT of food. and it's not that great. i was basically eating the same thing everyday, which was boring. but i know they have a lot of raw food recipes like cookies that are really really good, it's just a pain in the ass to prepare them and you need a lot of equipment like a dehydrator, food processor, blender, etc.
but as far as overall health i do think it is the best way to go. i lost weight really quickly and i used to have bad acne and my skin cleared up. i definitely recommend it. but it's hard.good luck :)
