Today: 162 lb, Goal: 144 lb - hey i weigh about 162-163 ponds(10 stone) and i think i need to lose about 14-18 pounds and i was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on a diet. I tried the atkins diet that started to work wel but then i found out though you lose fat fast u also lose muscle, i am trying calorie counting but its hard. Would you also be able to tell me the best foods to eat and how many calories i should take. thanks

Good idea to get off the Atkins diet. It is not safe and the weight will come back because the diet does not last. It is impossible and unhealthy to stick to. Eat fruits and vegetables. Also make sure you get in a good amount of lean meats. Eat foods with a lot of fiber because they will fill you up faster. Some people will tell you to eat low fat, but you need fat so cut back but don't omit it. The key is to eat everything in moderation. Try to eat every few (2-3 hours) to keep your metabolism going.
