Reply from Marina, Age 16 - 01/26/04 - IP#: 24.215.12.xxx First off, you're going to have to avoid those foods. Try packing your own *healthy* lunch and bringing them to school. Make sure you're eating atleast 3 meals a day and even some small snacks inbetween if you feel hungry. Make sure you're not eating past 7pm. Eating late slows down your metabolism because if you go to sleep while you're digesting the fat will be stored and won't be worked off at all. Also drink PLENTY of water. Water flushes out fat and toxins in your body. This causes your metabolism to speed up. Avoid drinking juice & pop. They are very high in unecessary calories! And most importantly get regular exercise. Try participating in activities that keep you moving quite a bit for about an hour for a minimum of 3 times a week. Don't make it a chore, but a habit! It's important that you enjoy what you're doing. I'm not too sure what some good exercise tapes might be, but you should try some tae bo or pilates. Pilates is a little difficult at first, but it grows on you. Good luck!!
