i'm overweight, i stoped weigning myself when i got to 185lb. i cant stand myself. i can't look in the mirrior when i take a bath. sometimes i think about starving myself but i know that doesn't work. i really want to just be normal. i looked up what my helthy body weight sould be for my height and it told me between 97-124lbs i'm so far away from that. i dont' want to be thin just happy and loved. i've never had a boyfriend and i can't stand to approch guys in that way. i don't eat poorly. i cut out all snack foods soft drinks increased my water intake and i'm trying to start running but i just feel hopeless. some times i get suisidal when i see my skiny friends and there boyfriends. can anyone help me please? anything you can say would be appreciated.

lauren-fyi 97-124 is about what i should weigh and i'm 5'1" - not a midget...but no worries i think it's funny how short i am

if you are feeling suicidal EVER you need to get help because that can put you in bad places because i use to be suicidal and depressed and i would self mutilate by cutting and oding on pills but yeah it didnt solve anything until i got help and now i have a positive attitude im on the track team and what i have learnt if you want to start running is you need to set yourself a goal each week like hm..i want to be able to run two miles straight by next week work on it and you NEED A POSITIVE ATTITUDE or you will most likely stop and get very discouraged also find a friend skinner or the same weight to go jogging with also eat carbs that will give you energy and FRUIT AND VEGGIES help a ton if you have any more questions email me at lilbritchick@hotmail.com i check my email every day.. so you should get a reply pretty soon..i hope this helps

Christina is right, but dont think of it as a diet, cuz then as soon as you reac hyour goal weight, youll stop and the pounds will come back. Just think of it as a lige style change! And dont COMPLTELY cut out sweets, just "use" them in moderation. Heres an example. My food vice would have to be chocolate, i live and die for the stuff. SO, i took a tip i found somewhere on the web, and i eat chocolate once a month, on my "birthday" day. Like my real birthday is November 24th, so on the 24th of every month, i allow myself some chocolate. Not crzy, just enough to enjoy it!

Hey! Well, you should go on a diet, but honestly, there not hard or bad. Cut out sugars and all soda, fruit drinks and junk food. Just eat lean meat, veggies, fruit and healthy things like that. You can look at the food pyramid for a basic overview. Eat between 1200-1500 calories a day. That is also good that your going running. Try doing some lifting too! And don't feel hopeless. We are all here for the same reason and we will help you reach your goal. Good luck!!
