I knew I ate bad yesterday, but it wasn't until today that I realized just how bad. I had to have eaten at least 4,500 calories. You may be wondering how anyone could eat that many calories in a day, but it's really easy. Breakfast: an apple(125cals), bisquits & gravy(500+), potatoes(200+) and a pepsi(250) Lunch: Some Chinese takeout(I've heard that a resturant meal has at least 1,000cals in them) and a pepsi(250) Dinner: Very very bad. French toast(450) with syrup(500+), ham & onion(400+), an egg(80), a bowl of cereal(500) Added up, that's 4,255+ calories, so almost 4,500. I don't usually eat quite as bad as this, at least I think I don't. On average, maybe 3,000, so still bad. The only thing is, I don't gain weight from any of that, the bad part, I don't lose either. I've tried cutting down to 1,200 calories a day, but it just doesn't seem to work because I always give in. I know what kind of foods I should be eating, just not a combination of what I should eat in a day. I'm so sorry this is so long, but if anyone can give me some tips, I'd be really grateful. Thanks all.

well camille, i also added it up, and she/he is overestimating. they're right. and also, i know that it is hard to not overdo it, but what u can do is just instead of getting soda, just get water or a healthy drink.also, instead of getting take out, make something at home. that will get rid of all the grease and stuff most of the time, unless u fry it.

Oh, I forgot, if you don't do this already, don't take seconds. Put enough on your plate so that you won't feel hungry after you eat, but after you are done, don't take more, because you are very likely to take too much.

It sounds like you are really overestimating your calories there, so unless all your food was dipped in lard and rolled in sugar I doubt you ate that much. To avoid overeating, try having a regular breakfast. I eat cheerios with 1/2 cup of milk every morning, and I don't eat anything more until lunch. Eat enough to not feel hungry anymore, but make it the same every day so there is less of a chance that you will go off track. For lunch and dinner, drink a glass of water before eating and, most of all, eat slower. Don't inhale your food. It was hard for me, but now I eat a few bites, put the fork down, take a few sips of water, talk or read, and then take a few bites again. You won't eat as much.
