There are a lot of people on this site that are following unhealthy and probably dangerous diets. We are all teenagers here and no one should be eating less than 1500 calories a day. For weight loss, it's MEDICALLY PROVEN that 1500-1800 is a better range than 1200-1500. No one should restrict their calories that much. If you are between 12-18, you are still growing and eating less than 1500 can stunt your growth. There is a lot of info saying that the limit is at 1200, but that is for extremely overweight, fully-grown ADULTS and it's not for kids.

excuse me if i am 12 yrs old. we are on this site to help each other not to say "oh your giving out false info" well, i eat between 1200 and 1500 and it sure is fine!

camille is right because i go to a doctor to put me on diets sometimes which is a good idea and she gave me this booklet telling me what i should eat and stuff and the thing said 1200 but she crossed it out and told me to eat at least 1500 to 1700 a day because i am still growing and im not fully developed and that the grown-ups are the ones who should eat less

i am gettin sick of u! where did u get the info that said that u can't eat between 1200-1500 cals a day... it is healthy. to determine how much cals you should eat, you should take the cals that u eat now and subtract 500 cals from that.... 1200 is clearly healthy. go on teen websites and u will see that it is healthy

I didn't know that. Everyone says it's good to eat between 1,200-1,500 calories per day. Now that I know it could stunt my growth, I'm eating 1,500 per day. I don't want to be short!!!!!!
