quick question. i know that if you eat 3500 calories, you gain a pound.. but does that mean 3500 calories total? or 3500 OVER what you are supposed to have ... like if i eat 1200 calories, then one day eat 4700 calories i gain a pound? ( i never eat THAT much lol)
Reply from Michelle <3 - 04/28/05 - IP#: 206.148.116.xxx yea its about 3500 over what you would need to eat to maintain your weight...and its not bad if you eat more than 2000 calories in one day. I burn about 2500 a day cause i'm really active so whatever your needs are, you shoudl eat.

But what it is the calories you burn everyday without exercise. Some are higher than others, but I would think most of ours is about 1200 to 1500 calories, so you can burn that in a day without exercising. But if you ate the same amount as your bmr and dont exercise, then you will maintain. I hope I made that clear, it was hard to put into words. lol.
Reply from helen, Age 15 - 04/27/05 - IP#: 68.158.1.xxx well that isnt necesarily true depending on how much excersize you do and how fast your metabolism is...but it never is that good to eat that much in one day because it is true that is how much a pound of fat is equal to.but i think that is to do with if you want to work that much off well good luck and NEVER EAT OVER 2000 in one day
