hey first of all the people who are making nasty comments are jerks. 2nd you shouldnt feel so bad about yourself. I dont have many tips other than eat 1200 cals a day and excersize. but i do have something to help cravings. If you get a spoon and dip it in a jar of marmite its sort of sour so it takes ages to lick off and then your craving is gone.

hey Kelly
i am kind of going through the same thing my freshman year of highschool i was the skinny cutie that every one just turned heads for going down the hall but then i gained about twenty pounds and now im nothing special right now i have lost three of the twenty i plan to lose so its a start what i did was i found something i love to do (always have a back up you never know what can happen) like mine was running but then i got injured (hopefully its getting fixed) and now its swimming so start off with the major thing and then add in the back up that a lone should help you lose inches if not pounds and then while your doing your favorite cardio add in some toneing excersizes like crunches, pushups, squats (watch your knees in that), lunges, and flutter kicks those help and will make you look GREAT for the eating thing dont take all junk food out because you will more or less go back to it when you have a craving just find healthier substitutes and every now and then treat yourself for the first couple of weeks DO NOT WEIGH your self it is soo depressing if you start out slow ok? i suggest maybe once a month also drink plenty of water! good luck

Kelly - People are rude and there comments hurt but you just have to try and get past that. It's hard, believe me, I know. Once you view yourself in a more positive light you'll have more energy and motivation to lose weight. As for nutrition and all that, for the best "diet" or plan go to your doctor. They know you the best and know you're height and weight exactly. Most people recommend 1200-1500 calories...personally I think towards 1500 is better if you're planning on exercising. You really don't HAVE to watch calories though. Just make sure the to not eat too much junk food, don't eat too much packaged food...try to stick as much as you can to vegtables, fruit and meat. And just don't eat a ton. Eat one serving of everything you eat. To get the best results you have to mix cardio with toning. Cardio is things like walking, jogging, tae-bo, dancing, swimming, etc. You should exercise at least 4 days a week for either 1 hour (if you move at a slower pace) or 1/2-45 minutes (if you move faster.) It's better to walk for 1/2 on a treadmill at 4 miles per hour than 1 hour for 2 miles...even though you walk the same distance the faster one burns more calories. Toneing is things like crunches, pushups, lunges, lifting weights, etc. I suggest doing these things 3 days a week -- the days you don't do cardio. I'd do about 1/2 of it. And remember, you can do this. You just need hard work, dedication and faith in yourself. I have faith in you. *Ray*Ray* (If you want more help or motivation or whatever email me at Princess_Dianne35@yahoo.com)
