im a runner but i hurt my self when i was running so i havent ran for two weeks
first you need new shoes or atleast shoes with a lot of bounce so you dont have a big impact when you put your feet on the ground but those nike thingys with the springs dont work. you need to make sure you have lots of water through out the day not all at once or you will get major cramps. for eating before you run (like if your hungry ten minutes before or something) eat a banana then you can pretty much eat whatever but i wouldnt eat empty calories like candy bars and stuff because you will get headaches and cramps just go with some bread or crackers with peanut butter or a pbaj sandwich is great! here are just some tips..
1. if you get a cramp KEEP GOING AND RUN IT OFF because the next time you get one it will be five times worse and each time you stop/walk and then start up again you will get it again and feel it worse
2. push yourself harder every day like a couple of feet or speed wise just push yourself
3. STRETCH BEFORE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY AFTER or you will regret it
well good luck ~helen~
