Ht. 5' 4", Wt. 205 - Hi, Ive posted on this great site and had some very nice people respond to me but hers my story. I came from Russia when I was 9 years old and I was about 4' 2" and weighed 52 pounds. I know, i was really skinny. There was little food their. When I came to America I could eat more so In 2002 I was 11 4' 11" and weighed 82 pounds. Then it happened my apptetite got bigger and bigger and suddenly everyone started telling I was gaining weight. Im like " so what?" i never worried about my weight. I went to the doctor and I was 129 pounds and 5'2" Then I stopped growing and started gaining weight. Last year, I almost got a heart attack from the number on my scale. I was 188 pounds. I had gained 60 pounds in 2 years. So this year I took it easy with food and dieted and I was sure I lost weight (no scale at home). Just last week i went to the doctor again and I was 205 and pounds. I practically cried myself to sleep. My sister is REALLY SKINNY (like 68 pounds at 13 and 5' 3" so I was like 3 times her weight. She and my parents would insult me about my weight all the time. Now I am dieting eating 1200 cals a day i try to exercise but i get out of breath in seconds. Its been two months and I only lost 2 pounds. My belly keeps growing and I think im getting fatter every day. What happened to me? Why did I gain so much weight just by eating a little more than normal. Im probably gonna be fat forever since im so obese. My doctor said I should be 100 pounds. How the @!#$ am I supposed to lose 105 pounds? Help Me please.

Reply from Tia, Age 14 - 08/21/05 - IP#: 4.238.222.xxx Wow, I really feel your story, It really touched me. Well, What I do is I take like 1,300 calories and thats my limit for like a week or so and then the next week I lower it a little bit, but not a lot. And also, I don't eat after 5 o'clock, and thats how I lose my weight, I lost like 10 pounds in like a week and a half or so. Yea so maybe you should try that, Good Luck, and keep me posted on how you doing. OK GOOOD LUCK!
Reply from Need2LoseWeight, Age 13 - 08/21/05 - IP#: 69.14.33.xxx Try to eat lots of vegetables and fruit because those have negative calories, which means that if you eat a veggie that is 30 calories, and it takes 100 calories to digest, you will lose 70 calories in body fat. Try hoola-hooping or jump roping for exercise. You can also walk like a mile or more every day, or run or bike if you prefer. Make sure you get active. If you watch tv alot, you can run in place while watching the tv. Whatever you do, stay active and eat right. I'm sure that if you stay motivated, you will lose 105 pounds. The healthy weight for you is actually not necessarily 100 pounds. It is between 94 and 138. So you actually only have to lose 62 or more to be in healthy weight range. Believe in yourself and you can accomplish your goal. By the way, you sister is only 68 pounds? That is unhealthy too, because she is underweight. She should be at least 88 pounds to be healthy. Good luck with losing weight!
