Ht. 5'8, Wt. 160 - hey! ive been following a diet of 800-1000 calories lately cuz that was the only way that i could lose weight but im always hungry and of course i know its so bad for you to go below 1200 calories but i just couldnt help it because i was losing so much weight. But now, ive decided that im really harming my body by not getting enough nutrients so i want to boost it up to 1200, but im scared that i will gain weight from this because my metabolism is slow. Im really really worried about this...do you think i will gain from starting to eat 1200 calories from a 800-1000 calorie diet?? I need advice really badly, thanks!

the fact is you will gain BUT if you do things to speed up your metabolism in a couple of days you wont have for instance do cardio and otehr exercises and then eat every hour, but something small like a piece of fruit or something and that will make you speed up your metabolism and you shouldnt gain anything from it but if you do then work out a little more

you'll be fine as long as you exersize. You definitely won't gain weight eating that much. even if you did gain a lb this week and started losing again next week, it doesn't affect anything, whereas not getting nutrients now will affect you for the rest of your life.

just make sure you're eating extra healthy now with the added calories and excercising even more to keep your metabolism up.
