Ht. 5'8, Wt. 175ish - Hey everyone, I know I posted just about an hour ago I hope I'm not bugging anyone by posting again. Well anyway I said earlier I was gonna go on the XL - Glider for 30 min. well I went on for 45 min and burnt 450 calories:) I didn't feel like going on it and I haven't lately but I push myself to. I want to keep my body in shape. My mom said to skip a night but I told her I can't do that cause if I skip a night I'm not burning extra calories and I'll want to skip more. So my main reason for this post is I'm telling you all that if you feel like giving up for a few nights think of how good it feels once your done working out and how happy you are in the end even if in the beginging you didn't want to. Good luck everyone!

Reply from Elizabeth, Age 14 - 11/11/05 - IP#: 67.48.228.xxx I know what your saying Emily but I don't have my eating disorder back. Yes I did have an eating disorder I wont deny that. But I got over it and now I'm just pushing myself to burn my last 15 pounds I want to burn then I can maintain my weight and be happy. I love my body now but it never seems to be enough. When I get to my goal I always want more more more weight off. I'm not starveing myself my mom wont let me and I don't want to cause I know what can happen to you if you do. I just have to keep this up for me. Every now and then I do take a break at night and not go on the exersice bike but it hasen't happened lately. I norm take a break (if any) on sundays but it all depends if I want to work out or not.

Reply from orcy, Age 14 - 11/10/05 - IP#: 70.172.200.xxx Emily - yeah over excersicing is bad, but 45 minutes a day is healthy, and not going overboard at all. although you should limit it to 6 days a week. good job !

Reply from Emily, Age 16 - 11/10/05 - IP#: 69.221.12.xxx No offence, but that's not good. You need to break every few days. I understand pushing yourself to do something that you don't want to do at one moment, but may enjoy long term; however, it is very important to rest at least one or two days a week for physical reasons, not to mention that endless exercise is often a symptom of either an eating disorder or disorderly eating. I'm probably just over-reacting, but rest is very important in an exercise plan.
