Ht. over 5 ft 4, Wt. ??? - ok before i posted as fat as you might of seen. Id like to lose the weight and then build muscle, as id assume u need to burn fat covering the muscles in the ab area in order to build muscle. Tips on how to do this plz. Btw is it possible to lose 5 pounds a week? If so how (in a healthy non starvation way)?
Reply from claire, Age 14 - 11/30/05 - IP#: 84.92.133.xxx If your wanting to loose fat and gain muscle then i would'nt judge how much you've lost by how much you weigh because muscle is heavier than fat so if you gain muscle you will weigh more but don't stress if you do weigh more after you've lost fat and gained muscle cos you'll look great. good luck

But on my chest is body fat (too much) including handles and stomach going out and over and i kno i might not need as much weight to lose as some people but i have been like this for years (Cept for muscle in legs and arms) for yrs since i was like in elementary and its not only depressing but its bad enough being where most ppl are extremely skinny and the fat in stomach area makes me feel even fatter there then i mite actually be. I hope thats better info
Reply from Julie, Age 17 - 11/28/05 - IP#: 4.242.183.xxx it really depends. It has to do with how much you weigh now (the heavier you are the more you'll lose) and how drastically you are changing your lifestyle (diet and exercise). It is pretty unrealistic, in general, for the average person to lose that much fat weight in a week, it's most likely gonna be muscle mass or water weight if you lose much more than 2-3 lbs in a week. Again, there are exceptions, but i dont have enough info. on you to give you a real answer.
