Ht. 5'10", Wt. 180 - Hey guys I need help myself! I feel over weight, and i just foudn out im at risk of being overwieght. Anyone have any tips for me please? This is my 3rd day of trying to lose weight. Today I did 450 jumping jacks, up/ down the stairs a few times. 15 crunches, 15 sit-ups and im only drinking water and im substituting dinner for cereal. I know im round, but i if i press on my chest, i can like feel my ribs after pressing, so i think my bones are large or something, so i dont wont anymore muscle because i dont wanna look bulky, i wanna look really slim, i dont wanna have curves on my body. Anyone knwo the ideal weight for a 15 yr old male to have a flat chest? This is embarrassing to talk about except online. Thanks for all your support.

Reply from Claire, Age 18 - 12/17/05 - IP#: 24.8.168.xxx cardio vascular exercise is good for burning off fat (like on your chest) - you could run, bike, swim, walk, etc. and don't worry about the winter - i went for a forty minute run today in the snow, and it was really fun - just try not to slip on ice or something. also, bench press is good for your pecs (chest)

Life for example, 20 reps of lighter weights opposed to 10 reps of heavier weight. That way you will lose weight (muscle burns fat) and be nice a toned, nots scrawny and skinny.

I was getting chubby and was just realy un happy with my body, but i just couldnt loose any weight because i was to obsesed with food and i still am i love food i love everything about it the way it makes you feel food, the diffrent tastes mmmmm But when i finaly desided to try and loose weight i tried it my way and i found very good results and i would like to tell you what helped me. First of all you need to realize that not eating as often wont do dick, and you also have to realize eating just fruits and veggies wont work either because you will be so hungry and you will constantly feel deprived of your favrot foods. WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT DEPRIVE YOURSELF OF THE FOOD YOU LOVE, YOU DONT HAVE TO! . I found that if i drank lots of water through out the day i could still eat as much as i did normaly the only diffrence i made was i cut my food into 5 meals. I ate every 2- 3 hours. That alone makes a HUGE diffrence. then from there i slowly cut out junk food but if you are a hard core chip fanatic like i was give yourself a reward. say you usualy go to school and buy a cople bags of chips or you go to the conveiniant store dont and everytime you want to put the money that you would have spent there and put it in a litle stash. then at the end of the week or month (your choice) buy yourslef somthign neat that you have wanted like if yoru guy go buy yourself a cd that you wanted to get or somthing. I personaly found that realy rewarding because at least i had an item to show for my money spent instead of an extra roll added to my stomic.And if you find it to hard to cut out all junk food drink water qand eat somthign like an apple and see how hungry you really are.BUT if you are around somone that has somthign you really want feel free to ask for a cople chips or what not. Its ok to have a cople bites here and there. Also if you are carb fan and you love your pasta and bread try switching to brown pastas and brown bread. I know you are probly thinking brown bread tastes liek crap but honistly if you put somthing on it its not that bad. other then that for food just remember to eat veggies and fruits. i tend to eat more fruits then veggies for the simple fact that they taste better. And if you are a red meat fan try your hardest to stick to things like fish, chicken,ect. OH! AND REMEMBER TO EAT BREAKFEST! ITS A MUST. remember if you eat a big breakfest you have ALL day to burn it off and dont eat 4 hour before you go to bed .But i have to say the thing that made the biggest improvment was the apple cider viigar pills it helped flush my system out along with the water. not to mention there really good for you . Other then that just try to get as much exersize in as you can like i herd you say you were doing all these pushups and stuff. well i tried that and honistly i can tell you from experiance that if you go out and play ball with yoru buddys or take your dog for a walk nightly you will see WAY more improvments then pushups and jumping jacks. until you loose the weight you want then start doing the weight training to tone it all up . Well there are my tips. they REALY worked for me . remember stay helthy and have patiance and you will see results :) bye

Reply from Lana, Age 15 - 12/16/05 - IP#: 12.64.12.xxx Well. You shouldn't take it too seriously. Just work out at least 4 times a week and don't eat a bunch of junk, and you'll be ok. Don't worry too much about it.
