Ht. 5'6, Wt. 210 goal 135 - okay Just A HEADs up 2 evreyone. that lifting wight does not get u any skinnier, niether does crunches or situps. in order to lose weight u must do alot of cardio excercise(running, walking, jumping ropes, jumping jacks, Etc.) Another thing is that fat Can Not turn into muscles.u have to lose fat then build muscle. and my last point is dont let your skin streach because when u lose the wieght your going to have alot of extra sking which is so horrible looking.

Oh yeah, and as far as saggy skin goes, we are still young enough that our skin is more elasticcy, so it will shrink as we lose. It's really the older people who have problems with saggy skin, generally (i know there are exceptions)

Yup, I agree with what charlotte said, weight lifting by itself probably wont result in dramatic weight loss, but it's excelent to do as well. THe more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn, just by existing. So, for example say two people both weigh 150 lbs, but one has more muscle than the other, the one with more muscle will burn more than the one with less. And, it generally looks better to be a bit muscular.

actually it does if u have a pound of fat it's bigger than a pound of muscle, and even if it does not get u skinnier it will help make u lose the jiggle on ur tummy and make ur arms and stomach look very toned
