Ht. 5'6, Wt. 190 - hey guys, do you have any tips for building self - esteem?i seem to always have this bully in my head that tells me that i'm boring,fat, and that i'll fail no matter what. when people look at me, i always think that they only think how fat i am. i avoid most of my friends and feel extremely miserable all the time. like, i always want to be someone else, but not myself. please help me because i'm getting more and more depressed

hey. I relate to what your saying about having low self esteem, but when i get really depressed about my weight i realize that everything doesnt have to revolve around that number on the scale..I may be carrying around some extra pounds but i have friends and family who care about me. When you feel down, go to the mall and buy a necklace or some new shoes..or go see a movie. With exercise and some will power the weight will come off. Good luck

Well, umm...I'm no expert but sometimes when I feel stressed, I feel like that too, I usually push the thought out of my mind by thinking about the things I'm good at. Like if you like sewing, you should do more of it and it might get the lovely smile you have back on your face, and yea there are teenagers who are really fit that might just think you're fat but don't let them or their looks bother you, you're on this site, that means you want to lose weight, so you should get going, so as not to suffer from your depression anymore, so get going and I'm sure you can do it!
P.S Your self-esteem will boost up itself the more weight you lose and the better you feel about yourself.
